Hi everyone,

I wanted to switch ISPs and came across the particular deal on Afrihost's website https://www.afrihost.com/deals

After going through the signup process for a 50 Mbps package, the router however only has been discounted R1000 instead of being free. I phoned the sales and support department, and have been informed that this is only valid for "selected" packages - i.e. the 100Mbps and Uncapped packages.

This is false advertising in my opinion since it says ANY uncapped packages and not "Selected" packages. Even though there is a T&C disclaimer, the wording still says any and not selected, meaning that if I selected any pure LTE uncapped package I would expect them to follow through with their free router.

Must have been corrected very quickly because I only see a save R1000 promo on their website.

This was taken on the day of the post. I did speak to a consultant and their manager. The manager said that he'll phone me back the afternoon to manually assign this offer as that was what was advertised. He never did. So yes. I will not be switching to Afrihost. I do not want to be associated with a company that can't man-up to their mistakes.
