Any suggestions for a GWM Hover alternative?

Ok, so you defend the Hover to its teeth and complain when ppl bring up their other models being shocking..

and then you go and say you don't want a Discovery 3 because a 110 that your friend had leaked.. you do know that they're DIFFERENT cars.. and the Discovery 3 is known as one of the best 4x4's out there..

It'll make your Hover look like the piece of shyte that it really is.

Bunny, don't you realise that this guy lost all sense of reality the day he decided to buy a Hover?

I defend it because people who don't have one, never drver one and probably never sat in one tear it apart. So the point is when you can really give an opinion and it is based in reality it is a different story.

Have you ever driven a Discovery 3? .. or are you just dismissing it because your mates 110 had an issue?...

And I don't need to drive one to know that its crap, they won't send it to the EuroNCAP for testing which is a big black mark in my books.... its based on old presses... and crap old engines...

It's like a dog chasing it's tail - there is more to what you guys are batting. You just choose not to see it.

It's not about budget, it's not about what is better or worse, it's not about showing off or having hot cars - that can't be afforded - it's about value for money - simple to understand really.

I had reservations buying the Kia 5.5 years ago - it proved itself. I will buy the Hover and take it from there.

Whether your opion is that i am idiot or i don't know anything about cars or i am wasting money or i should buy second hand (what ever for) or other - fact is your opinion doesn't count and i have read enough to make me comfortable. There are a couple of you who assume yuor opinions mean something but there are more that actually drive a GWM with honest opinions to warrant the purchase.

Like i said - someone with an honest opinion. The fact that it wasn't an immediate response but eventually was added to a thread tells me it isn't an honest response but simply thrown into the mix.

I drove the previous one (2) and the colleagues 110. Nice to a point but i avoid Ford products - but then again i have owned a couple of ford products.

It's based on old tech yes - proven and still running. I can repair it myself if i wanted to - that is how basic it is. My merc had all the bells and whistles but it wasn't as reliable as the Kia has been - hopefully the GWM too. That's my decision.

BTW... Ford don't own Land Rover anymore...
 
Let me take step back and say that yeah we can get heated in this - fact is we don't know each other and perhaps it will stay that way. I am happy to try the Hover regardless of opinions or advice.

You all have your own opinions and i respect that. You obviously realise that this is happening and I am prepared to take the chance. Fact is you lose nothing and it doesn't prove anything to anyone thrashing it out in this thread.

However, I will be in a position to support what i am saying or eat my words in a couple of days time. Whatever I say positve thereafter will still be met with resistence - if i am negative it will be unchallenged. That will leave us in the exact same position - one of negativity for something most of you may never experience (and you will respond that that is how you want it) but anyway, without hard feelings i say that i will buy it and test it first hand.

Thanks for the input though :)

I haven't pissed it away yet though i intent to spend it soon ;)
 
No problem, the input has been fascinating.

I would now like to make a suggestion to the Admin of MyBB that we start off a whole new section called "I would like to make a d@@s if myself and would like the whole world to know"
