Called them now, told me they cant honour as per previous posts and have requested my reversal :(

Nevermind kalahari's reputation, the rep of the band is also taking a knock here... Might as well try work the angles here.

1 deal per customer at advertised price is fair...

If it's stipulated in their terms and conditions, that they don't have to honour faulty prices, you can't really argue with that. (from a legal point of view)

Anyway R2500 is a seriously good deal for a full laptop like that. I'd take it for my girlfriend.

Its just been a authorisation so far -- we've reserved the funds but not actually charged you -- confirming now when the auth will be reversed, if necessary I will organise a special batch to the bank to get them all processed

Sheesh guys, they made a mistake, have 'fessed up with a good offer in sympathy, what more do you want? The price has been in question since post #2, or am I the only one who saw that?

I also linked to their T&C's where it was clearly stated that they have an E&OE clause.

Cudos for them to at least post here on the matter and clarify the position and make a peace offering. Let's move on with Monday.

nonsense, 80 or so laptops at a R1000 loss each is no more than 100k cost - just cancel two click click ding dong tv ads and you would get better publicity from the 80 or so happy people and the subsequent free press, mybb posts etc

Yeah - if it wasn't for the crappy band logo on the top :p

They should offer it for R2500, but with a free paint scraper to get that godawful vinyl off the top. :D

We honor prices where at all possible and in nearly all cases for pre-orders we will honor the pre-order price (this goes even more so for games and DVDs which are my departments).

In this particular case its just too big -- even the offer we're making (the R2500) means we're taking a major knock on each unit.

Nothing personal.

Been planning to for a while anyway.

Everything I have ever considered buying from them I have found cheaper elsewhere.

Yesterday is a good example, I wanted to buy myself all 6 star wars episodes.
I ended up buying 2 box sets (12 DVD's in total) from Pick n Pay at a total cost of R598. That includes original and modified 4thru6.
Go look at kalaharis ripoff.

Even loot is cheaper than kalahari for most stuff.

"shrugs" wasted my time and that is the only thing I can not get back.

We only ever had 20 units at the lower price (even there it would more than a R1000 loss), the rest (and there were a lot more) would be at three times that loss per unit.
