Anyone being nawty?

Well, I'm on the phone with TelkomSA now, asking bout my Feb usage (which I did 180GB local - according to the usage tracker)

The lady says that according to her stats, I did the following for Feb:

7.6GB International
6.2GB Local
(This is not the proper stats, this is from the front page of the TI Usage Tracking Tool, which obviously is not correct)

I should put the phone down now and be happy with that, but considering I know Telkom has this bad habit of NOT DOING THEIR JOB properly, I'm investigating myself.

I've asked her to call Herman Potgieter (the oke who called me) and find out whats potting.

Becuase push comes to shove, I can purchase top ups and still suffer but it won't be as much as paying PER GIG.

Update: 11:52am 29th Feb - Zanele at TI can't help me, she has to speak to other people including Herman Potgieter and maybe the Product Manager and will get back to me.

Why purchase topups? To cover local bandwidth? If so, topups don't come with local bandwidth. That's why I suggested purchasing 4 or 5 TI 3GB accounts.

am i right in assuming that they can only bill you for local bandwidth over and above your alloted cap?

So if someone had a 1 gig TI account, and managed to download 5 gigs with the blended part, telkom cant charge you for the 4 gigs, only if one were to download using the local part?

Thats the theory anyway

Monday, still nothing from Telkom.

But I noticed they updated the TI Main usage page with info saying that they plan to charge you for local... TI is covering all their bases! haha.

Come on, let's face it, this is TI we talking about here.

They'll charge you for the 3GB you bought again if they could and still try BS you into believing you're must pay it.

This thread is dying, but can you believe it, Telkom have NOT contacted me at all regarding this!

Maybe that's a good thing, maybe they looked the other way ;)

Let's not count our chickens just yet Linoman :)

Yeah you have a point there but I think that the fact February this year had 29 days seriously F&ed up Telkom. That might just have been your saving grace I know it saved me R50..

Moral of the story don't do it again:D
