Anyone elses Mweb still uncapped?

Yes, it is uncapped, but after your international, and then ten Gigs of local, they charge you 3 cents per megabyte. Why? How much have you used?

my advice is STOP downloading now, those guys will charge you for every meg over your cap

good luck

R675.80 ....

Ja, there abouts

How is it that you missed all the discussion about this boramk?

... and I wonder how many other M-web Subscribers are also going to get a nasty surprise? :D

But they sent out an e-mail a month ago. End of March, beginning of April. Warning people that the trial had ended and they were going to start charging. There was a big Hoo Hah about it on the board here.

Surely you still have the hardcap option i.e. deselecting Pay Per MB & Auto-Booster in the control panel (https://myadsl.mweb.co.za/Main.aspx)? Of course these would be enabled by default if Mweb had any ethics.

That only hard-caps the international... not the local.

I think M-web is going to have to provide a hard-cap option here for customers, cos many are just going to carry right on downloading their e-mail and stuff... oblivious to the fact that they are on local only.

I wonder if M-web is gonna be lenient these first few months until they iron out the bugs.

Doesn't matter to me... I've already canceled with them.

Canceled mine too, effective 30 April. Gonna miss it though. Back to old local options: TI's 30gig after the cap, Axxess local SAIX at R10/Gig, and the old IS 30gig local.

What email was it that they sent out?
When?

I have an all-in-one subscription with them (4MB) - have not received any notice - am blissfully unaware of any changes.
