Anyone here on Slender Wonder Program?

I'll try your suggestions Beachless about cooking and storing on the weekends. I don't know why I never thought of it since my mom used to do it all the time.

I don't like the gym here. It smelt like stale cooch the one and only time I went there. I'll rather do the walking. I used to walk my dog around a few blocks in the early hours of the morning and we both enjoyed it. Can't think why I stopped. Anyway I'm going to start again tomorrow morning.

And you're right about holding ourselves back and being our own worst enemy.

Awesome, and all the small things add up too like always taking the stairs instead of the lift/escalator using a further parking spot also dont be too hard on yourself knowing you are improving your health every day and it takes time.

I have never been a fan of gyms so I get how you feel.:p

Hi

Is there anyone here doing slender wonder?

I started last week Tuesday and I'm really worried I'm not going to loose the amount of weight I want, because of the crappy surgery I got it from.

I live in Vredenburg and went to a doctor who is registered on the slender wonder website. I got the starter pack, but they gave me the booklet in Afrikaans and when I requested an English booklet since I don't understand or read the language, the lady told me they cannot order the booklets on their own and that it comes with the pack, but she would explain everything to me. I was irritated, but took it.

The next two days were confusing as I wasn't sure whether I was supposed to start the injections on the binge days or not so I called her and asked for the English booklet and she gave me the same story. I insisted and she said she would try and see if anyone had an English copy I could borrow. She still hasn't gotten back to me and they closed last week Friday till next week. Anyway so I've been using Google translator and asking people in stores like an idiot to translate for me.

I just want to confirm that I'm doing it right:
Day 1: I got the booster injection and ate normal.
Day 2: I injected myself, took 4 WonderCleanse supplements and 15ml of the pineapple tasting liquid(Can't remember what it's called) and started breakfast with a half slab of chocolate, rusks and I can't remember what else. I was told I could eat whatever I liked and as much as I liked. I really pigged out for supper cause I had 8 zinger wings and 3 pieces of chicken :o
Day 3-5: I injected myself and took the liquid and CLA supplements. They told me to drink the shake plus 300g of apple for breakfast, then 300g apple for lunch and supper. I was also supposed to drink 2ltrs of water. All of which I did. I took 2 Wondercleanse supplements before bed according to what the book said.
Day 6-9: I inject myself and take the liquid supplement (which I forgot last night and this morning), then I follow the meal plan for the day as per the booklet. I drink all the other supplements minus the WonderCleanse 30mins before a meal and 2 WonderCleanse at night. I also drink roughly 2-3ltrs of water per day.

I weigh all my food as per the booklet. I'm supposed to only have a 100g of protein, but I noticed yesterday after cooking my protein that it weighed only 58g. Am I supposed to weigh it before or after it's cooked?

I haven't weighed myself since they weighed me last week, but I haven't felt any change in my work uniform, which is what counts for me. I cheated on Sunday with a half apple and Monday with a full apple. Plus I split a protein bar between those days.

I find myself pre-occupied with food if I'm not busy and I've been reading the 'What's for supper' thread on here for days which is not helping. Like right now I'm thinking how I'm going to murder a burger, spareribs, cerberus' onion rings, Picards' yummy looking chicken with the curry sauce.

I was impressed with myself on Monday though, cause I went to Spur with some friends who all ate burgers, but I stuck to my two glasses of water.

This i can't read or understand Afrikaans is bullshyte. Sure you might struggle, but I assume you went to school in SA? If so you had Afrikaans as a second language.

Injections... A guess is that the injections are HCG (human chorionic gonadotropin). If so you can find more details of the protocols in the book, "Pounds & Inches: A New Approach To Obesity by Dr. A.T.W Simeons"

HCG Diets are usually starvation diets, and it's debated about whether the HCG has any added effect at all...

Then people attack me when I talk about injections that actually mean something, while there are people out here doing the slender kill myself gimmick

And back to the OP you know 100g of chicken is not a 100g of protein ?

And you are gum! In which part of my posts did I say I was eating junk food while taking the injections? I consulted a qualified doctor before doing this diet. What qualifications do you have to give your judgment on this diet?

I don't even know why I bothered replying to you. I'm scrapping you off the bottom of my shoe.

Doctors are not dieticians. And I'd get a second opinion if I were you.

Don't you just love how South Africans think that anyone who has lived here for any amount of time should automatically speak their language? Is the thought that some people might not give a flying pig about your language so difficult to fathom? Yes I grew up here. Part of my schooling was done here and yes I did take Afrikaans and Xhosa, because it was forced down my throat. I threw all the books in the trash afterwards. You have a good night.

I haven't weighed myself since I started, but will get weighed at the doctors tomorrow. But I can see and feel a difference with my clothes :)

Good luck...if it doesn't end up working out, we have a weight loss thread here each year with fantastic support and knowledgeable forumites.

The HCG starvation diets do work, and the injections are a wonderful motivation to stay on track! (it's debatable about whether they have any other effect at all) But the OP will have the same problem as her previous diet - it will all come back in the end, unless she uses this quick fix to motivate an entire lifestyle change.

OP should first attend to her emotional problems by seeing a psychologist. Her issues with food will start to be resolved which will result in eventual weight loss.

Diets require discipline. We are fat because of lack of discipline. Ergo: no diet ever "works".

Meaning as a second language you had to pass it.

Just like Afrikaans people had to learn English. Are you saying Afrikaans people are superiorly minded since they can speak English and understand it as a second language but as an Englishman who had the same level of education in Afrikaans can't?

ok then...

What does it matter that she cannot understand Afrikaans?

It doesn't. He/she/it took offense to me saying he/she/it should be able to at least understand the booklet to some extent till an English replacement is given. I didn't complain about it...
