Anyone here on Slender Wonder Program?

Thanks D3nz.

MightyQuin, I was seeing a psychologist a year and half ago, but instead of making me better it just made me feel emotional and raw all the time, so I stopped. I'd rather deal with my problems myself, it might take me longer, but I'll do it.

For language problems download Word Lens on your phone, end of problem.

It wasn't very hard to pass Afrikaans tests especially when you were given an example. Just copy the example. Ek gaan huis toe. Ek gaan nie huis toe gaan nie. I failed Xhosa every time, but they let me pass the grade because I was a foreigner. Thankfully I dropped out and went to college and didn't have to deal with either of those languages any more.

Anyway here's the thing. My home language while growing up was not English. But I still learnt English, because it's an international medium of communication. Afrikaans is not. When I go to Japan, Sweden, Jamaica, Egypt, India, New Zealand or America, people will understand me when I speak English. Not Afrikaans. Not Xhosa.

Just because you love your language doesn't mean I have to. And anyway the average person is not gonna know what the crap lemeonpampoentjie is. I asked 5 people who are supposed to be Afrikaans and they didn't know.

Meaning as a second language you had to pass it.

Just like Afrikaans people had to learn English. Are you saying Afrikaans people are superiorly minded since they can speak English and understand it as a second language but as an Englishman who had the same level of education in Afrikaans can't?

ok then...

if you put lemeonpampoentjie into google, it says "lemoen pampoentjie", and then you can go to https://translate.google.co.za/#af/en/lemoen%20pampoentjie for the translation

And you are gum! In which part of my posts did I say I was eating junk food while taking the injections? I consulted a qualified doctor before doing this diet. What qualifications do you have to give your judgment on this diet?

I don't even know why I bothered replying to you. I'm scrapping you off the bottom of my shoe.

* Scraping

And just because you consulted with a doctor doesn't mean that much nowadays - you should be doing a fair bit more than that before you decide to inject yourself. I was just posting the chips thing as a bit of a mock but you might as well be doing that if you're willing to go that far for weight loss. You don't even need to gym or exercise (although it's better for you in the long run) - all you need to do is eat less calories than what your body burns. You could literally sit on a chair your whole life and never get fat if your intake is correct.

You bothered to reply because you know deep down what you are doing is foolish because you aren't willing to do the real work on what is required to lose the weight.

Thanks D3nz.

No, you won't. If it was that simple, no one would ever need to see a psychologist. Eating disorders are rooted deep in our psyches and you are only attempting to deal with the symptom instead of the cause.

So you originate from Ghana.

Did you attend all of your school in SA?

Yes. I started standard 5 here, but dropped out after standard 9 to go to college. It was the best decision my parents ever made for me..

I didn't see the point of sitting in a room spilling my guts to someone. All they did was ask me questions and tell me things I've told myself a thousand times. "Why do you think you feel the way you do?" "What's the worst you think could happen if you let go?" "It wasn't your fault..blah..blah..blah" tell me something I don't know.

Then in your case I agree. Your Afrikaans will be pretty crap :o

I apologise :)

No problem. I was also having a super bad day and shouldn't have flown off the handle.

Anyhow I'm on cloud 9 today. I had my measurements today and I lost 4.5kg. Not bad for two weeks. She told me how many centimetres I also lost, but didn't hear anything after 4.5kg. My new goal is to lose 5.5kg in the next two weeks bringing my total to 10kg for the month.

And I finally got an English copy of the book and like I thought, I missed some steps. I could have lost more, but I'm still happy and proud of myself.

:wtf: injections?

Vitamins, but they call it some or other wonder drug. Then they make you exercise and eat a calorie restricted diet and say it's the wonder injection that makes you skinny. :D very good placebo.

No... the injections are HCG - Human Chorionic Gonadotropin.

How you surviving in Vredenburg with all the Afr mense?
Do you have access to a car?
Drive to Paternoster or Jacobsbay and take a long walk on the beaches there.
If you like cycling, you really have a some good roads out there with nice wide shoulders. Wind could be an issue, so be aware....

Target weight of 60kg?
You sure that is not too low? Guess it would be ok for a very short and skinny girl???
Weight loss should really NOT be about how much you can loose in a short time, but maintaining a certain loss for an extended time.

Cooking for 1 is also not fun, so good luck with the efforts and keep us updated on the progress.
