Hi peeps,

I am struggling to find this memory online, havent been to Incredible or Matrix but thought i would ask here.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, I am looking for 8gb modules.

Must it be that exact same type and brand of memory? or do you simply mean it must look like that module, i.e a so-dimm.

It is essentially from an old Laptop and i am trying to get it running again, but it only came with 2 x 512 modules.

I don't mind what make but the memory i have been able to find does not fit , the pin layout is different.

This is a typical DDR2-666 module. At the best your laptop will accept maximum 2x1GB modules for total 2GB, all depends on the chipset used. To confirm, post your laptop model#, production year, p/n (for HP).

With 1GB RAM it can comfortable run Windows XP.

I haven't seen anyone selling 4gb ddr2 200 pin memory, these are rare memory. Maybe you can get 2 x 2gb module but check if the laptop supports it.

google your laptop make and model. It will tell you the max amount of RAM it can take. I highly doubt it will be able to use 8gb modules.
possibly max 2x 1gb modules.

If you only get 2 x 1gb memory. Replace hard drive with ssd.

Before wasting your money, I suggest you check as to the maximum size memory chip supported on the machine.

Thanks peeps, I will check what the model of the laptop is this evening and also have a look at the max supported memory.
