Hi

I`m in the process of applying for a new contract from MTN, but I can't quite decide which package I should go for: AnyTime or Topup. The only difference I know about so far is that with Anytime, you're not limited to the allocated minutes/sms'es per month and you pay the out-of-bundle rate if you do go over these limits, whereas with Topup, you are limited, but you have the option of loading airtime as you wish. When going with the Topup package I have the option to apply for MTN Zone which will give me discount on calls during off-peak times, which makes Topup the more attractive package. Any thoughts?

I'm on TopUp with MTN and through my experience it has saved me a lot of money with regards to no "unexpected bills".

If this forum is anything to go by, MTN has had some major billing stuff ups in the past. So I would go TopUp route personally.

Can still choose 'unlimited' or Top up - top up gets my vote too

i thought all new contracts are now topups

no yuo have a choice of top up or normal nytime (both are bsed on inclusive airtime, only diference is one you can top up with prepaid vouchrs the other bill you if you go over, I have 2 phones one on top up and the other on normal cntract, and the top one is much better nd easier to controll, as soon as the other contrct is upim moving it to top up

I'm on Anytime Topup...I get R100 a month , a random phone, and reload Pay-if-you-can airtime whenever that is up.

Top up makes more sense for me. Avoids nasty surprices end of the month.

I was on anytime, about a month in I changed to top-up... MTN has no problem doing this as essentially its the same thing just with a cap.
