I got my copy this morning at 8:30 they delivered it from Take2, was quite surprised. Ive been installing since 9 and its now 10:12 and still not finished :(. I think im gonna roll a ranger dunno which race though

My 'main' is a Ranger and i chose the middle race (not Stygian or A -something)... Still at Tortage tho
 
lvl 14 Aquilian Male Priest of Mitra on PvP Battlescar (EU), name = Surgeon..
So far my feat points have gone into the damage dealing spec (cant remember the name)
at level 40 I get a summon spell, its a monster that deals damage and heals my team (how awesome does that sound)

Hopefully this game allows you to change your talent spec later on, because like WoW im assuming noone wants a shadow priest as a main healer :D

Damn, cant even do this, my boss is a bit of a gamer also and while i was getting coffee, he saw the disk on my table and checked the manual and told me when i got back - "bet you cant w8 to get home this afternoon and go play"
 
Got mine this morning too... popped off home to start with the install, going to head back in an hour or so to see how it's going. With my 384 line, I'm hoping to be able to play this evening, but not sure.

Oh yes, and then there is the +-700mb patch download

AFAIK you push "alt + click" to unlearn feats, but 'it costs money'

Hehe it was... but now both disks are installed and it's busy with the patches.

Regarding PVE vs PVP servers. I love both PVE and PVP, so don't want PVP to totally dominate the PVE side of things. Does anyone know if there is PVP on the PVE servers?
 
ive only rolled pvp so far, and so far, giant gank fest. They really need to fix it, because from my limited exposure it could ruin pvp servers..

im a level 14 priest and had some level 19 ninja camping me for about an hour, wasn't fun

My ranger is on a PVP, interested to see how much ganking there is... Its pretty cool that 2 lvl 60's can take down 1 lvl 80

You can just change instance when that happens.

But it happens a LOT. Really is a bit mindless a the moment.
 
After the pain staking patching i logged onto a 5fps average
Not such a good start but combat certainly looks dynamic the few frames i saw.
Im picking up my new card after work so times kinda crawling for me
I have no idea what class i wanna play
Apparently theres raiding post 80 so i need it to be a wanted class:rolleyes:
 
Ouch 5fps... Was that at highest or lowest settings?

I idle at 38fps on Highest with bloom and 4x AA, anything higher and i loose fps drastically

These PVP servers does it allow one to still do the normal quests etc or can you only just do PVP
 
You go about playing the normal game, you're just allowed to kill people whilst doing it.
 
I joined a Culture-PvP Server [Twilight]. This makes the PvP somewhat less chaotic. at least you got "some" people that can't attack you [and will aid you in all the randomness].

Race : Cimmerian
Class : Bear Shaman [Priest]

So far i'm enjoying it quite a bit. The combat system takes some getting use to it, but is alot of fun once you get it right.

I like how almost all the classes can hide/stealth and the instancing seems more of a blessing in disguise [both for latency reasons + if you rock up at a place and see too many people killing your quest mobs...just change instance] .
