Hub Addie Connection Issues

Heya guys/gals

If you are having a problem connecting to the 6666 port addie, pls try the other ports listed thanks, seems some are battling on 6666 now :(

It appears due to line upgrades in certain areas, people are randomly connecting and disconnecting from the hub, This is not the hub's fault, It is stable, Just please continue to persevere, At 6 o ' clock seems like its happy hour and everything runs normally again If you are constantly getting this error "An established connection was aborted by the software in your host machine." try these diff addresses Try dchub://thehub.activedns.co.za:6666 or 412 , 411, 443 , 1500 ,1411

LATEST VERSION OF APEXDC 1.3.8 LAUNCHED

The latest version of Apexdc 1.4.3 is now available

Please if upgrading an existing version, just exit the current one, and run the setup as normal :)

Joined up yesterday and wow.... the hub is really cool.
Friendly ppl to deal with and very helpfull
Im not really a techy kind of person but keen to learn & looks like the hub is where ill be doing it :)

Looks like certain isp's are taking the local peer shaping a bit too far :(

So new hub connect address is thehub.activedns.co.za:465 :)
 
Local Bandwidth And Hub

Due to the peer agreement that mweb has now, The local peer traffic from saix to mweb was causing problems.

We now have sorted that issue out so all will be able to connect again, even if you only have local cap available :)

HOW TO GET SET UP FOR THE CIRCLE OF FIRE

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO GET SET UP ONCE ON THE HUB

PM AN OP IF U NEED HELP !!!

Heya, Welcome to the Circle Of Fire
If You haven't, Please register in the mainchat text box type.. +regme followed by a space and a passw
Then Pls type /fav in the mainchat text box, It'll say that you added hub as a favourite.
Next Click on the Orange star icon, on the toolbar at the top, It will open Favourite hubs Tab.
Tick The circle of fire Hub, and DEL the other 2 international ones that are there.
Right Click on The Circle Of Fire Hub Address and select Properties
Type your Password in there


We need to change a few settings to get you up and running...
Hopefully u using Apexdc 1.4.3

FIRST STEP PLS DISABLE DHT (esp for ApexD++ 1.4.3):
File > Settings > Advanced > UNTICK "Publish shared files on DHT and use it for searching alternate sources"
then change
File > Settings > Appearance > WINDOWS,, at bttm select TABS on Top
Next, so u can browse lists by double clicking a username in main room...
File > Settings > on the left of Advanced click - then find new tree > Experts only, bottom right > double click user in userlist action CHANGE TO BROWSE FILE LIST
also change double click user in mainchat to Public Message ,,, so in chat u just double click a user name to redirect chat to.
File > Settings > Advanced > Security ... Untick All TLS options at the top of the window

Please check your UPLOAD SLOTS AMT IN File > Settings > UPLOAD SLOTS < 384k LINE = 1 SLOT > A < 512k LINE 2 SLOTS > A < 4 Meg LINE 2 / 3 SLOTS, 10 meg at your discression >

File > Settings > Share (Please Select all Media on pc be it game Isos / Movies / Series / App setups etc) Absolute Min Total 40 Gbs... In the same place below where you select directories, Change the time to 5mins and 999mbits speed. This will auto add or hash new files when u add them.

PLEASE SHARE EVERYTHING YOU HAVE, SHARE EVERYTHING YOU DOWNLOAD FROM THE HUB, INVITE YOUR FRIENDS, STAY CONNECTED, AND HAVE FUN, ONWARD TO CONN. SETTINGS

How are u connecting to dsl... is it using (1) pppoe ( dial into modem) or (2) User Passw for your internet saved in modem?
If its first option, make sure the points a) b) and c) are correct as per below.
If it's Option 2. DO ALL THE FOLLOWING SETTINGS

FILE > SETTINGS > CONNECTION
Select Firewall With Manual Port Forwarding
a) Bind Address I.P is 0.0.0.0
Below that is TCP – (The port no u enter here is 60616)
Below that is UDP - (The port no u enter here is 60616)
Below that Is TLS - (This is a secure Port Protocol Leave it as 0)
Below that Is DHT/UDP - (Leave this on 0 as well)
b) Wan I.P - Leave Blank
c) Outgoing Connection - on Direct Connect
DO PORT FORWARDING ON YOUR ROUTER FOR TCP AND UDP using same port number as entered in apex - 60616

Start > Cntrl Panel > Firewall > Add/Allow a Program or Feature Through Firewall
Also Add as Exception to any other Internet Security you make use of.
**** PLS when restarting Apexdc, rt click the shortcut and run as admin if you on win 7 or vista, sometimes settings arent kept if not done. Add apexdc.exe to your firewall on home and internet zone in Windows.

Double click the link select add to download Once done Open (Download) Cntrl - Z Folder and extract all rar to Apexdc > Emopacks folder wherever you installed apex (usually program files or program files (x86)
Once done in Apex, rt click smilie (face) at the end of this line, select pumbadarth and rejoin hub,,

Request from "helpers" on the hub for new users

We really do try our best to make joining the hub and getting connected as painless as possible, BUT, we cannot help if users do not respond to our messages, or give us "No I am good thanx" answer and then start asking questions in the main chat. :wtf: :cry:

It is also important to know that even if you are familiar with DC++ from lans etc, there are specific settings for this hub that need to be done, so, to all new users.... we promise, if you respond to our messages, you will be connected and downloading in no time at all. ;)
 
Heya, When joining please look out for a pm. which will appear at the bottom on a tab with the ops name on it, Pls click this and read the instructions that are sent to you carefully.
The best time to get help with port forwarding etc is after 18:00, There are a lot of people available to help you get set up then :)

Join the hub now :) read above.. its easy
 
Public Holiday, U bored come check out the hub :) Great alternative way to obtain data, In conjunction with the usual avenues,
