My wife and I keep track of out budgets in different cards. By sharing screenshots if purchased etc. FNB on the others hand prevents me to take screenshots of my banking app. Is there an app in (which) I doubt, or outside the play store I can download to firce" my phone to take a screen?

Unfortunately, banking apps like FNB use secure flags in Android to block screenshots for security reasons, and there’s no reliable or legal app on the Play Store to override that

Yup you can't even hold down the middle button to circle search.

Check within the banking app, and enable taking screenshots. seen the option before with other banks.

A shared spreadsheet or a simple whatsapp message should work.

Take a screenshot of the notification sms.

I wonder who is being managed, OP or his SO?
@Mimen did she find out about that new 5090?

Go old school - keep your receipts.

Does seem like there is a trust issue. Maybe too many late night transaction at certain clubs.

Anyways won't let a women know your financial situation. They are generally the one's that have no self control when it comes to money and shopping.

Even if there was, I would avoid exposing your phone to something that can be a security risk. It is not worth it. Think about it for a second. There are apps to keep track of budget and spending and you should be able to export your transactions.

Lol! Not in my case. I call my wife Mrs Moneypenny. I'm the one that will spend and she is HUGE on savings. We are both pensioners and last year I landed in Hospital, Emergencies, ER etc. Seizures then hit by a car when I was crossing a street to the other side at a pedestrian crossing. Set us back over 40 K in Dr's bills and excess payments. If it wasn't for her savings we would still be paying off the hospital and the doctors.

Unfortunately no. It's FNB who implements this on their app and to override it you'd need root access to the system OS.

Buy an iPhone.

Same thing on iOS. This "feature" is on most financial apps like FNB. As I mentioned, its the app developers / FNB who make this a "feature"

I've implemented in my apps before too for some companies and there is no way t get around it.

Send copies of statements or take a photo of the screen with another phone.

As per others, there’s no way around this OS level restriction once enabled in the app

Tried now on iOS and screenshot works - went to the account and took a screenshot of the transactions
