iPhone 14 could drop mini model

Apple is rumoured to be dropping the 5.4-inch mini variation from its upcoming iPhone 14 lineup, and the Pro variants could feature a more-prominent camera bump.

According to a 9to5Mac report citing Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the iPhone 14 range will only feature 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch versions.
 
Too bad.
I would have loved to get the mini, already have a 6.8" main phone, my second line should be an iPhone mini.
 
Mini sales have been slow, foldables are where it’s at, Apple would likely drop the mini for a foldable option.

They took a decade to introduce OLED into their smartphone displays. They rely on the Samsung's and alikes to test the market, then go in years later to perfect it.

Foldables are still eons away in an iPhone.

People are sticking to their phones longer, most high end phones are on 36 month contracts, same in other countries.
Apple can lose market share if they are too slow on it.

If anyone is waiting for a foldable iPhone prepare to wait for a very long time.

They aren’t.

People are crystal balling that they are.

I’m willing to bet the Mini has sold more than any foldable from any single brand.

I also doubt Apple would ever do it.
 
This is a real shame as I hate big phones. But as I speculated a while back, hope we see the SE 4 in the mini body

People are so convinced they won’t do a foldable anytime soon. If not this year, definitely next year in my opinion.

I think they go in when it's cheap enough to make their margins.
 
Apple make things that work perfectly and last a long time. Android users might be used to their phones just lasting 2-3 years then to the bin, so they think foldable are the new hype. But Apple will only join the party when the technology are there to give an excellent experience, unlike the subpar Android experience.
