Apple Event - 8th March 2022

I was, yes. It's the official site for SA isn't it?
Correct yes, but there are two reasons why it will not be available on there yet:

Informally, because they are useless. I can bet you that some iStore employees won’t even know what you are talking about if you mention Mac Studio

Formally, the dates mentioned in Apple’s presentations always refer to their local (US) market, not to the availability to the rest of the world.

It takes a few weeks to reach SA and other countries for that matter. This waiting time has improved over recent years, but we still have to wait a bit longer.

Sorry, I thought that was common knowledge.

Best would be to sign up for iStores’ newsletter, they always send out a mail with pre-order and availability dates for SA, when new products come out

Yep, I am aware we get products later than the west, and I'm aware Core are useless.

Updating a website for a pre-order doesn't/shouldn't suffer the same delay though.

it seems Apple has gone back to stupid design decisions

I honestly don’t know what these people were expecting?

Complaining it has no Airplay or ATV? Why would it suddenly magically have that, it was never in any sales pitch anywhere so how can you moan about that?

What a bunch of drama queens about a built-in cable. The HomePods are the same, it’s not an issue.

I mean, if you’re moving the monitor once a day, sure, not being able to remove the cable might become annoying. But if it’s static most of the time, is it REALLY going to bother you? Doubt it.

Exactly.

It’s a real world inconsequential moan.

And the argument about what if your dog eats it? Well then you’ve got weirder problems.

Honestly. This is why I stopped watching tech reviews on YouTube. If it’s not attention grabbing titles it’s the unrealistic expectations or silly comparisons.
