4G support on anything else is wow ...
When it comes to the iPad, it's not that fantastic.
It's like a buying a Ferrari ... V12, 450kw and 1000nm .... you get in and there's no fuel gauge, it's limited to 120km/h and other times a message would appear on the dash 'Please use the bus today'
I thought we didnt have a 4G network in SA?
I see Samsung already have a tablet out that supports LTE. So Apple looks like they are catching up to Samsung.

Apple has never been about total freedom. They have always decided on a user experience and lock their products down to that.
There are many other options if you don't like their decisions. Hating is pretty pointless when you have an option to use another product

Why are people b**ching about Apple and trying to turn their devices into the same experience offered by other manufacturers? Simply buy a device from someone else that does what you want and let go of the hate

No, the way they launched this news was lame. In the days and hours before the news was released it was this big secret that no one knew was going to be announced.... as though they had actually produced their hydrogen powered laptop or something. I was expecting something amazing. Instead we got news of Ipad playing catch up to other brands. That was lame.
So if you are aware of that, why do you go onto a thread about Apple and moan about them?
There are many other products that will give you the freedoms you desire
You shouldn't get your expectations that high...

It's not just you. I can remember the reaction after every keynote for the last 10 years being the same.
Teeth gnashing, exclamations of it not curing cancer, the massive letdown, etc. Every. Single. Keynote
Hell, it was same after the iPod was announced.
It was the same after the iPad was announced - "Tablets suck. Who on earth wants them. What a let down" "It's just a big iPod touch. There's no market for that"

Let's say that for the last year, everyone has been talking about this superior revolutionary tablet that does everything .... it's touted as the potential replacement and 10s of millions of sales. People line the street for hours and - you-re told - every tablet that comes out pales in comparison to the mighty iPad. Users s****** at anyone that buys any other tablet and pat each other on the back for buying the best gadget out.
So, I pop out and get one ... and every day that goes by, you hit a speed bump. You talk to the IT guys at your work that inform you that you've made the wrong wrong choice and show you what they can actually do ... how they can download anything and copy files across with no need for a PC. How they access websites and their device has full multimedia capabilities.
You then go to a few others users that GASP at the thought of an 'i' product not working as well as the competitors ... and when you open your eyes, you notice how they follow the Church of Apple and buy into marketing and sales. You hear them chatting in the hall about buying the 'iPad 3' before anyone knows what it is.
Worst of all, you realise that the flaws and isuses with the iPad are MADE to be like that. Someone DECIDED to limit you in every way possible - it wasn't a mistake. And then you get sad
EDIT : Dramatic post aside, it's just a bit of anticlimax. I love my iPad - but it can be so much more
I'm telling you, they must include a plasma cannon in the next version.
