iOS 26 unveiled

Apple unveiled the latest update to its iPhone software — iOS 26 — during the keynote address at its Worldwide Developers Conference 2025.

The jump from iOS 17 to iOS 26 is due to Apple overhauling its software versions to be uniform across various devices by using the last two digits of the following year.

Copying Samsung though 6 years late.

Shame admit you’re wrong and just move on.
Where? Is it releasing in 2025? Or is it releasing in 2026? Oh it's in 2025, lets call it 26? But hey that's the Apple way, all hail the Apple

The bulk of its release time will be 9-10 months of 2026 hence tied to that year.

It’s really not that hard.
Not really, cause it was released in 2025, if you bought a car in September of 2025, it's still a 2025 model, they don't go oh all right it's 4 months till 2026 we'll just mark it as such :-).
What they could've done is just delayed the update till January of 2026 to align properly.

Apple has always had September release dates.

That is right before their software devs go into hibernation for the winter.

Go play with Material 3 Expressive. Oh you won't get it? Bow to the master Google.
Oh please sonny jim you won't get half the features in ios26, probably just a number update and some little pretty graphics. But hey at least that number keeps going up and you can say oh look at me with my little 4.7" phone that just "works"
You really are an insufferable little Apple troll, it's like you literally throw yourself into whatever ecosystem you're in at the time and screw everything else, you're like the perfect little sap for companies

Now imagine they emerged in January to release their ios to properly align with a year, not 25% in 2025 and 75% in here and you go you see it's ios26 cause it's 75% in 2026?
It's like ooook Apple go for it buddy.

So triggered by a software version. Kek.
How to work up the Apple acolyte, he likes jumping into every thread to recommend Apple for everything. Pretty sure if someone asked for an electric razer he'd say go for Apple.

To be fair, Apple is a pretty good solution for many things. Not for everything, certainly, but there are some pretty solid reasons to go for an Apple, I'm sure even you could admit that.
