Sure it is, especially if you're in the ecosystem. But to literally jump into every thread when someone is asking for a device to literally say get Apple. The person is asking for a budget device, go for a second hand 3 year old iphone that's still out of budget.
People want a specific Android, go Apple, laptops go Apple. Not everyone wants Apple or needs Apple or cares. It's like he gets some special bonus or something for the more he converts.
He feels like one of those spammers who pops up everywhere to recommend his lifestyle, if he was a vegan cycling crossfitter he'd be the trifecta.

He is just salty his S23 Ultra won't get Material 3 Expressive because Samsung will strip it out.

I don't care, you're the only one who has a hard on for updates. I mean I understand it, when your core apps require an entire OS to be updated. Android updates aren't even special anymore, this isn't the old days where updates actually brought massive changes to a device.
It's only you who seems to think that updates are this special pinnacle of being, it's like you need it to make you feel special, that you've chosen correctly. To the point that you jump into every thread to spread your word, it's like it's your religion, I mean if people actually invited you to parties anymore would you keep whipping out your phone going hey guys look I got ios18.5 and look it just so smooth? Or don't people invite you out anymore cause you're like a tupperware selling, cycling cross fitter, vegan apple user? Preaching the good word of Jobs?

Hoping CarPlay comes with the means to not autoplay.

I'm curious what their pricing model is going to be. Hopefully it doesn't up the price of new vehicles even further, they're already too expensive.

Pricing model? Why would Carplay cost anything? AFAIK it's run off the phone.

Yea but don't the manufacturers pay Apple for the license to use CarPlay in their vehicles?

Yup same as for Android Auto, though don't think it would make the pricing that much higher. Perhaps for wireless vs wired?

Not sure how it works but I can't see how a new version of carplay on your phone would change anything ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Looking at Aston's implementation, it looked like more than just CarPlay on the phone though, but I may be wrong, only saw the one video about it, the TopGear one I think.

Aston Martin implemented the CarPlay+ which allows the in car digital functions to be integrated into the CarPlay UI. A number of other car manufacturers indicated that they would be doing the same but only Aston Martin have delivered to date.

Not sure, they do some pretty crappy stuff. Like the heated seats subscriptions and whatnot. They're always going to try to make extra profits I guess.
 
As CarPlay has been brought up - those widgets do look good.

Am I understanding that every widget available for iOS will be on CarPlay? In other words, smart lights or inverter power generation on the screen? If so, that's pretty cool

Hoping that it's not going to be limited to certain phones though
 
Yours says 9GB, however mine is 14.99GB for the update. Have you noticed any differences worth mentioning?

Each phone will have different sizes with features being or not being there.
 
It looks like I will be able to put telemarketers and SABC collectors on hold while they listen to elevator music. When is this being released?
