Apple iPhone 5 unveiled

Half these guys that hate the icult mentality are not samsung fans, many like nokia and other brands. Some like myself even like Apple devices but you put them off Apple devices because of this cult mentality.Wake up and realize that.Don't get so emotional if someone says something about idevices, why love a device so much??Its irrational.

1) What do you even care whether we love it? What is it about someone else's passion for a certain object that sends you into such a fury? And what does that say about who is the irrational one?

2) If you read either my or Jstrike's posts you'd realize that both of us have criticisms and like other devices. The fact that we like the iPhone 5 just by itself is what seems to send you off on this bilious rage. It's totally bizarre. If you want to buy any one of the billion.5 Android phones out there, it's totally your prerogative. I might advise you why you'd rather get one over the other, and I might even be puzzled why you'd prefer an SGS3 when the OneX has such a superior build quality and screen, but basically it doesn't bother me one way or the other.
I guess you can thank your previous comments all 4000+ of them for that.If you want to be seen as neutral and sensible then you gotta earn it.

From your neutral and sensible self such a commendation wouldn't be worth a whole lot but thanks.

Hahaha :D

Um... You got me. Just updated to the latest CM10 nightly 2 hours ago and now learned the next JB Stock leak is out, so backing up and preparing to flash that.

Between my flashing I like to follow the threads with you, Bevonk, Cerebus and Marine1. Screw TV. You guys are entertaining

Awesome, how the hell do you keep up with all the roms? I used to use Clockworkmod on the Desire, worked pretty well, sure things have evolved since then though...???

I use ClockworkMod sometimes but normally just get CM straight from the CM website. The JB leaks from Sammobile via XDA notification.

Tapatalk set to notify me on all the MyBB and XDA threads I follow so know pretty quickly when there are updates.

Jelly bean or Jailbreak?

Clearly a man in the know :p

Well, wait for the iphone 8 - you know, roughly when the other 95% of Android users will be on JB. :D

iPhone8 will be too long. I reckon the way the iPhones are going (extending length) I would settle at a 6 tops.
Unless of course Apple figure out a way to increase the width too. That would be innovation.

/Ducks and runs :D

lol :D

The way Android top-ends are going you'll be needing a backpack to carry your phone long before the iphone 8 arrives. :) Of course you can then market them as "ipad killers". :D

I figured as much :p

I would love to be able to run Android on Apple hardware. That would be the ultimate mix IMO.

I'm not trolling here but I get the impression Android is quite resource intensive.

Where iOS5.1 runs effortlessly on 512mb of ram, I would imagine JB would not.

Let's face it, iOS strength lies in the marriage between software and hardware. If Android were ever able to achieve the same synergy it would be epic. Problem is Android is evolving at 1000mph and so is the hardware it comes on. Too many variables.

Much easier for Apple to develop and focus on 3 or 4 models at a time and one OS at a time.

Yes it's becoming stale but it also remains very stable.

Nah dude. S3 is the current top Android phone and is thin and light. Unless you aiming at the Note which falls into the "phablet" category?

I think JB is lighter on memory than previous iterations. ICS also very good. They are also very good at memory management.

With features coming out like side by side apps, video running on top of another app, etc... memory requirements will increase, as well as processing power.

With Apple having fewer models to focus on you would think they could accelerate the development of iOS a bit more. But Ye, I am used to Android so looking for similar features when I play on my iPad3 so probably not fair to expect that considering Apple's different approach.
With Google (and it's OEM's) having a much larger device range, they are doing pretty darned good with the rate at which Android is evolving?

i was an early hox adopter, and battery life on mine is not great. you run basically 10h as a moderate-heavy user.

but you also get people who push a solid day and a half.

just saying that the os is not likely the issue.

looking forward to playing with an ip5 to test against my custom jb hox
