I unlocked my iPhone, and can make calls on Vodacom, however cannot receive calls. On MTN, CELLC can make and receive calls, anyone know why?

I have tried various Vodacom sim cards, all can make calls, but when you phone the number the person calling you gets an error.

Thanks

Did you manage to sort out the vodacom call recieving?
Where did u get all those apps to unlock?
I'm seriously considering buying one, but I have a vodacom contract...

Eh...I played with an iPhone over the weekend. Family from the states had one with them on roaming!

I can say this: The phone is alot of flash, it's shiny, big screen and looks the bizniz. But when you really get into it, it sucks. It's got an archaic SMS system (I read the review about this on Mobile-Review.com and thought I'd test it out- they are right) and as nice as the flick and slide is, the phone can't hold it's own function wise against my S710 or say an 8GB N95!! Maybe I need more time with the phone.

I think as a flashy weekend phone, it's great. To use as a business tool, it needs some work. Would I buy one? Well...for R5000 if it was guaranteed to work properly on Vodacom and not with some funny unlock patch, I would...I think I would get bored with it quite quickly and trade make for my WM6 smartphone which IMO is the best thing since sliced bread.

I actually want to know how the touch screen feels, on my HTC Touch, you have to apply a small amount of pressure on the screen, is it the same with the iPhone?

My Freind just sent this to me. Why can't we get something like this...

Three new great value iPhone tariffs will be available from O2 starting at £35, which all include unlimited anytime, anywhere mobile data usage and, in a market first, free unlimited use of the UK’s largest single public Wi-Fi network, covering over 7,500 cafes, restaurants, airport lounges, pubs and other locations across the UK.

I suppose whatever local network wants to have the rights to the iPhone will have to offer something similar.

More details here - http://www.engadget.com/2007/09/18/apple-iphone-hits-o2-in-the-uk-on-november-9th/
Naturally, Apple's not doing anything fancy here, and is announcing the same old EDGE phone we know and love here in the States -- shattering the 2007 3G pipe dreams of millions of Europeans -- but has made up for it slightly by scoring free WiFi for O2 iPhone users at the 7,500 hotspots serviced by Cloud in the UK.
