Or CellC - esp if 3G isnt a consideration.Oh crap ... If O2 got it in the UK, I guess MTN will get it in SA as opposed to Vodafone/Vodacom
Or CellC - esp if 3G isnt a consideration.
Anyway - SA is of little interest to Apple - we have no iTS and no official presence so it might be that the phone never officially comes to SAOh f0k, I didn't even think of that one!
Where's Cellucity now?![]()

The last thing you want is Core bringing it in.Isn't our cellphone market huge? That would just be silly. Besides, I'm sure Core would bring it here? Possibly give it to all the networks instead of just 1.
CUPERTINO, Calif., Sept. 24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Apple has discovered that many of the unauthorized iPhone unlocking programs available on the Internet cause irreparable damage to the iPhone's software, which will likely result in the modified iPhone becoming permanently inoperable when a future Apple-supplied iPhone software update is installed. Apple plans to release the next iPhone software update, containing many new features including the iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store (www.itunes.com
More on it here, along with a method to undo the sim unlock until the update has been pushed through. http://www.macrumors.com/2007/09/24/apple-issues-warning-on-iphone-unlocking/), later this week. Apple strongly discourages users from installing unauthorized unlocking programs on their iPhones. Users who make unauthorized modifications to the software on their iPhone violate their iPhone software license agreement and void their warranty. The permanent inability to use an iPhone due to installing unlocking software is not covered under the iPhone's warranty.
If you've unlocked your iPhone take note (unless you really are interested in a r5000 paperweight)

While I'm sure Apple is enjoying sales to people in non-iPhone countries they are taking a huge hit on every non-ATT iPhone used in the states.what ive heard from some "friends" in the states is, apple is smiling, they are selling thousands of units outside of the AT&T deal. they knew it was going to happen, and everytime they plead for us not to crack the phone, they are only doing that to keep their deal with AT&T happy. wouldnt surprise me if on the every new release the apple dudes sit around in a dark basement , "ok what doors have we left open, there must be at least 3 open, but dont tell anyone". hey its all about money isnt it
