Oh God I think I am going to puke.
I must of missed the article that said "PC's are popular." Cause that is more accurate than this title by the authors own admission.

FACT: 90% of kids have or want a PC to play latest games on. Find me one kid that doesnt want to play games on a computer and I will show you a lying kid. (Its called a genralisation)

Mac comes with instant messaging right out the box. WOW!! Just like windows, and every other dam OS in the world. Hell even my cell phone comes with one. I spose it also has this latest in communications too... I forget the name... oh yeah, eeeeemail.

I blame Apple for spreading the senitiment you are too dumb to use a piece of equipment, there is no hope for you, you utter moron, but dont worry little buddy, we will hold you hand through all of this new fandangled "electronic" stuff. Sad thing is people seem to lap it up. Why not rather point out the fact that driving a car is more complicated and dangerous than using a PC... yet everyone drives a car, so why be scared of a PC.

Sure, with a fair bit of effort . . . you can run windows on a mac with no effort at all. :)

I've had my teenage niece and nephew's PC here since last year when they wanted it upgraded but they got a Wii for Xmas and have no interest in having it back . . . but I guess they're lying too eh? ;)

Maybe - my missus and the kids (with her guidance) keep buying my 360 games for xmas, b'days and now fathers day . . . married life is way more expensive. :)

I stand corrected and have adjusted my post accordingly. Tell me something, why would they want it upgraded... for some extra word processing power?? Fact is some peeps dont have the privilage or the inclining to have a PC and console.

While I don't pray to the big gleaming white god, I do believe OSX offers the best OS solution today. Why?

Simple, it's Unix with the best possible application support. And it's got a pretty slick GUI.

Best bet would be OSX on your own hardware of choice. But wait.....that seems to ring a bell somewhere....;)
 
I think OSX, whilst somewhat "basic", is an exceptional OS. What I take issue with is the fact that in order to use it you have to buy hardware that is twice as expensive as PC hardware with only half the performance, oh, and it is more shiny.
