Ja mine too. Core's price is surprisingly good and (miracle of miracles) it looks like it will be available on launch day. Hope to pick mine up from the iStore at Melrose Arch tomorrow.
 
Just phoned the iStore at Melrose Arch. They were at least aware of the launch tomorrow but they dont know when they will get getting stock. "Maybe Monday" was the direct quote.

Seems like the same story at all the istores.

Well the other thread meantioned that istore sandton are also aware of the launch but will only be getting stock in a few weeks.

They don't charge you until its ready to ship. They don't keep your cr card details on record.
 
Just got an e-mail from ZA Store - my OS X Snow Leopard is ready to ship..
 
I'm not upgrading yet. I will probably purchase Final Cut Studio 3 upgrade from ToolFarm for $299 and install that first on Leopard and see how that goes. Wait for the first service pack too (of both FCS 3 and Snow Leopard).
 
Lovin it, it's pretty awesome, Mail is much quicker, screen capture option is pretty sweet althou I had SnapzPro, fonts display better, installing apps is super quick, I think SL is telling apps to ignore putting in the PPC code or something. Subtle differences but def worth the 329.

How does FCS 2 or 3 run on it?
Adobe PS CS4?
 
Movie compression using Handbrake seems faster, it's actually a lot more streamlined.
 
Some thing's work better after a restart, after installing perian and flip4mac I had to restart to view a movie correctly in preview.
