Aramex global shopper

Of course.
I always expected high duties.
Anyone have this problem? I paid one amount but shipper sent in two parcels. I can't upload invoice twice or I will be charged duty twice.
I contact Olivia in JHB, explain the problem and ask what to do.
She says contact supplier and ask for separate invoices.
All very well and good, but this is an eBay sale. You cannot ask for an invoice to be sent through the eBay message system - nor can you send your email address through the message system.
I got around it by downloading the PayPal invoice with the full $84 amount paid on, and then photoshopping on the separate amounts of $42 next to each tracking number. I was lucky that each tracking number was on PayPal.

I know this is the hardware forum, but I will post this for interests sake and shipping + import duties price via AGS information

Suede leather boots $149
NY STATE TAX $5.96
QUEENS COUNTY TAX $7.26
Shipping R500
Duties R1000
Ordered 17/12/2018
Delivered 16/12/2018

Still cheaper and super quality than available locally

The sad part is that you paid duties on the cost of the boot plus the tax. This is because they calculate duties on the total not on the item itself

Is it a problem if the courier delivering to your Aramex address needs a signature on delivery?

(Apologies for all the questions - this is my first time using this service.)

If you mean a courier to one of the Aramex Global Shopper origins requires a signature then there is no problem as they sign for it on your behalf.

If you mean a parcel delivery to your house, there could be a problem
The Aramex courier is courier for both Aramex Global Shopper and Aramex Express.
They not only require your signature, they require it twice.
So yes, if you're not there tomorrow, and you know something is out for delivery, you need to contact your local Aramex and notify them that someone else will sign.

So I don’t understand this. I received an email from Amazon saying the following, “As per customs regulations, the carrier needs additional details to clear customs. Please provide these details by adding them to the recipient’s address during checkout or by visiting "Your Account" and clicking "Manage Address Book" under the Address Book heading”. I don’t understand what they want from me my address is already listed there. Wtf does Aramex want from me.

Amazon? If so you need to contact Aramex Express with the Amazon shipping number if you have a direct shipment coming in.

Dunno but dhl on friday wanted to know from me the contents of the package, my id number, email address. They needed this to arrange the customs clearance, afterwards they sent me some documents and directed me to a payment portal to pay for the duties.

Yeah Amazon. They don’t specify what details they need from me. I’v bought plenty from Amazon and this is the first time I’v ever been requested additional information.

This is usual for DHL diect shipments (not through Aramex Global Shopper). I paid my online customs duty for a shipment coming in from China this morning.

What do they want from me!!!

Lol, don't stress, they enter the nearest depot to you. Mine said Welgelegen, which is about 15 minute drive from me. (I'm in Parow, Cape Town). Delivery is actually the same delivery man as the usual Aramex Global Shopper parcels, so if you have had something delivered from AGS before it will be even easier for the courier.
If Victoria is absolutely nowhere near you, phone and fix it tomorrow - you have to contact Aramex Express anyway.
