So I uploaded the invoice to Google Docs and used the built in translation tool - so that will hopefully work!

Any advice for what to do when the seller (Amazon 3rd party) doesn't send you an invoice - and ignores your requests for one?

Had to make up a lot of stuff but tried to keep it honest. I'm assuming SARS will come down like a ton of bricks if something is slightly incorrect?

You can leave the dash out, it's the same for my NY address when I use Amazon and I have always received my parcels.

Have used NYC plenty but the sales tax you have to pay usually kills any savings. Don't like paying a tax I get zero benefit from. AGS should open hub in Oregon (West coast) and Delaware (East coast). Zero sales tax there.

I would imagine as long as you are honest on the price you paid, all will end well

With me they sent a notification when I could pay for shipping (which was R199 for me). They should let you know when you need to pay for import duties it's definitely separate to the shipping cost.

Don't use Shop & Ship.
As there is already a successful company operating in SA, Aramex had no choice but to change their name in the Southern African region.
Here Aramex Shop & Ship is Aramex Global Shopper.

To clarify, there is a Shop&Ship running in South Africa, and it isn't Aramex. Hence the Aramex name change.

Did they arrive in one package or did AGS consolidate them?

Yup amazon uses aramex, but Nope didn’t use AGS, sorry should I remove posts then..

Guess it’s not the same maybe different process used between Amazon&Aramex..

It's been one month now, and aramex still haven't managed to deliver a single tempered glass from nillkin in China.

I've provided everything, invoice, PayPal proof, importers code, bank statement showing the transaction etc

Few days ago I got an email saying that I must send an unredacted bank statement!
No ways! I told them fly a kite. Anyone else experienced this?

Customs wanted an invoice, then a proof of payment, then a stamped 1 month bank statement.

Just a hunch but monies ARAMEX generates from AGS are used to expedite "proper" ARAMEX packages through customs with actual ARAMEX agents clearing them. For AGS packages you are at the mercy of customs and essentially just get in the line. Just a faster postal service essentially. With UPS, FEDEX and the likes you pay a premium for the clearing part.

That's the normal aramex app. You can use it to make mobile payments on ags stuff en see status in more details. When I queried this with them yesterday they were almost surprised on why I know the details...
