Hi

Anybody imported a Google Nest Hub Max? AGS shipping about R589. But assume there will be import charges from USA

Can buy it locally for R6299 so need to know import charges to see if worth importing vs buying locally.

Under what category would it fall for import duty purposes from USA

You should only be looking at the VAT on the invoice.

Having said that - I thought it was a loudspeaker. Silly me. If it is a wifi device then I think no duty.

The speaker is called a Google Max quite expensive for a speaker! The google nest hub max also a pretty penny but far more versatile.
 
Hi guys. This has probably been asked somewhere in the threads... If so I apologise.

I've ordered from amazon many times in the past (prior to March). Are things ok these days? Any more problems than usual?

New York is working fine.
At the moment.
All it takes is one infected person to shut things down somewhere. Could be NY, or Oliver Tambo customs.

I dont have it on paypal, but it was interesting when I paid another shop paypal, it had the uk address, not sure if pulled from ebay or not
 
Hi does anyone know what the Material Safety Data Sheet is? Aramex is requesting it from me but have no idea what that is

What did you order? Sounds like it is something that needs a clearance certificate that it is safe to transport per the regulations

You'll probably have to ask the supplier for an MSDS certificate.

Or if it's a known supplier you can find it on google. Just search MSDS + the material you are purchasing + the supplier's name

If all else fails just find an MSDS from a supplier located in the country of origin. Aramex doesn't really care, AFAIK they have to ask by law but they won't follow up on it unless you send them some obviously fake document.

I ordered a mobile phone, iv probably bought 10 from China before, and just got one a month ago too from aramex global. This is the first time i was ever asked for this document

Depends which mobile phone, if it’s an obscure one then it makes sense that they need this as it has a battery..

Yup.. it’s not allowed if broken so probably needs some support.

well my search for the MSDS still carries on, all I found was a manual for the phone and sent them that, hopefully its enough.

I bought it off Aliexpress and yes the DAC was one of the reasons, also the price of LG phones drops dramatically soon after its release and for the money i could find anything better
 
So are lipo batteries just not importable?
