Aramex global shopper

I used my FNB promo code to push through the payments on my parcels and received them today. The initial payments that were made when the system was broken are still pending though. Their IT team is looking at the issue.

How does one purchase from a store that does not accept international cards? Would buying a gift card and using that to pay get around this? Am I asking for trouble?

I don't know if anyone remembers my earlier post about an item on my account that I didn't order. So after countless phone calls and emails no one got back to me. Checking my account now it shows shipping was paid for and the item delivered, the invoice was signed by M. Scharneck. It however shows my name, address and contact details.

Wanting to try AGS but waiting for the $ to fall abit more

Received R77 discount via the FNB promo code on a shipment of R274 today. Weirdness!

Changes were made to their payment API, something to do with using $ in the background, so it's not a mistake and the rest of you will probably see something similar.

Anyone know of an Android app that can track multiple parcels from Aramex, DHL, EMS, airmail and has a good UI?
The Aramex app works really well but is linked to your phone number and if you want to track several packages to different phone numbers it is a bit difficult.
I'm not talking about the AGS, ShipandShop app, I'm talking about the normal Aramex app.

Deliveries APP on Android is my favorite.

The deliveries app is ok, but you have to add the suppliers method of dispatch manually.
With 17track it first tries to suss out the postal service and if it can't you have to add manually. The best for me is that it has a rudimentary copy and paste function. If I copy a tracking number on eBay and go to the 17track app, it asks if I wish to paste copied number.
It also has a separate courier section you can choose from. This includes Aramex, DHL and FedEx.

Used the FNB promo code (first 5 digits+SHIP). Got a R78.20 discount on an amount of R571, making the amount I paid R492.80.
Hope this means that customs is not involved, cos I won a bid on eBay for 99 pence. The actual worth is 99 Pounds and the seller made a mistake in the listing and actually shipped for the lower price.
If customs open the parcel and estimate cost, I'm screwed.

Awesome. Where did you get the promo code from??
First 5 digits of your card?

You will probably have to provide the PayPal invoice (screenshots from the app usually)

The service I received from Aramex is miles better than DHL. Order a product from Hong Kong on 26 September 2016 and it was delivered today. Ordered something from USA that was shipped with DHL on 26 August 2016 and it still hasn't arrived.

I have mixed results with Aramex. My packages are either super on time or super late and at this point its a 50/50 split. I've never had issues with DHL before, though they also cost a lot more.

So I get an email this morning from aramex

Please note that effective immediately all shipments require a Commercial Invoice in order to be processed at our international facilities. This invoice is also required to process clearance from Customs upon arrival in South Africa.

Please ensure to upload your shipment invoice on www.aramexglobalshopper.com (on the shipment tracking page under the ‘My Packages section’) or email it to us at [email protected].

Please note that as per SARS requirements, a Commercial Invoice must state:
o “Commercial Invoice”
o Name and address of the seller and the buyer
o A detailed description of contents and value (value cannot be zero)
o The currency invoiced
o Invoice cannot be handwritten

All my invoices are correct, except they dont say "Commercial Invoice". What now? Anyone has an answer? I have emailed Aramex to get clarity.

Got the same email...

Not sure why the requirement for "Commercial Invoice" is there, just seems daft in my opinion.
