You have submit "fake" invoice, or maybe will get luckyQuestion, for RMA / warranty replacements, paid nothing, when coming through customs what will they charge?
AGS is not the best with customer service and updates.Hi all, I'm using AGS to have a TV shipped to myself in Cape Town that I purchased from B and H Photo. First time using a service like AGS.
My experience so far as I'm currently in the early stages of the process:
Ordered and paid on the morning of Friday the 23rd September from B and H Photo website. Later that day they emailed me asking me for proof of Identity as the card used to pay was from outside the US. I sent the info they asked for early Saturday morning and the order was released and shipped on Sunday 25th.
It arrived at the AGS New York Depo at around 10am on the morning (New York time) of the 27th. Immediately after that I got an email from AGS stating they had received the package and it was now in my account. The rest of the day went by with no change. Wednesday then went by with no change.
By now I'm wondering if I should ask for an update on the status. Unfortunately its a large, fragile and expensive item and I'm impatient and I want to know that the process is moving along swiftly, so Thursday morning I sent a request through asking for an update. A few hours later I get a response from a lady saying that they require the sales invoice to be uploaded before the shipment can proceed. The ticket was also then closed by AGS. My issue with this is that I had no idea this was needed, and they never notify you that its on hold until you upload the document. Any way I uploaded it immediately. Nothing further happened that day and I'm keeping an eye on the status to see if anything happens today, but so far nothing yet as I realize there is a big time zone difference between SA and NY.
Am I being a bit over the top with my impatience? I decided that I would ask for another update on Monday if I have seen no change by then.

Its best to keep following up with them to expedite the process.
From now on you just have to wait it out until it is air freighted into the country.
Maybe another 2 or 3 days.
Keep in mind that once the item arrives in the country, you will be asked to pay the taxes(SARS Duties + VAT) and the AGS clearance fee
See attached - My personal experience.
Note: The item I purchased had no extra duties. I was however required to pay VAT
Hope this helps and is useful
