Aramex global shopper

I was told this afternoon that there might be big delay customs delay due to festive season

Same same. FedEx told me the same story this morning and that my delivery will be delayed

got an incoming from UK, but not urgent, will get it when I get it

I have used AGS a lot, but never for something really big.

Does anyone know what size limits there are? I searched but can't find an answer.

I want to buy something in Germany that weighs about 2kg but comes in a box that is about 1.5m long.

I asked this here but didn’t get a reply.

AGS stated they charge on actual weight and not on size of package (volumetric weight). It worked for me when I ordered a boot spoiler from UK. Huge box but only weighed 2kg so only paid on 2kg

Not sure if they changed their policy as I can’t find anything on their site.

I received two deliveries via Aramex from Amazon today (Saturday) meant to be delivered 29 December. Not bad. I decided to go the cheaper Aramex option and it worked out.

What is the biggest box anyone has received with AGS?

Looks like if a box is too big to go on an airplane they put it on a ship.

Clear ORT customs and on its way to Cape Town. Not too bad
Still haven’t got this.

My tracking said “attempted delivery, rescheduled”. They must driven past my house expecting me to wave them down

It would have to be enormous to not make the plane, I think the limit is longest side 2m.

This is new...

While looking at my profile on AGS website, it looks like they support this new thing for deliveries. Type your delivery address in as 3 words thats unique to your exact location. Guess its nice for people where it is confusing where their actual street address is.

Aramex global shopper prices have gone up significantly in the new year. Be careful.

Had a parcel arrive in Spain (purchased before the price change last year from aliexpress), thought it would be around R250 for 0.3g, they are now charging R565.

Thought that was a mistake, but it's the official rate as per the rate calculator.

Do you guys use Flex?
I'm importing a 6kg item from Thailand in March. I can save R600 + free insurance with Flex but Flex costs R300 pm. What do you guys do, would you purchase Flex for one month and then cancel? I don't do many shipments per year.

I have the annual Flex, didn't know there was a monthly option - either way, I only paid R750 (US$40) in November 2023 for my latest annual renewal (not the R1500 stated on their site).

I’m assuming you mean 0.3kg but even that can't be such a big jump in rate, whats the new rate per kg now?

You may have a grandfathered option. It's R1500 here. I just don't see the benefit. I order maybe 1-2 times per year on AGS, most things I import via Buyee, Amazon Japan or Amazon US. Just that I'm ordering a heavier item, a Toto Washlet from Thailand (as they're on a special there right now and less than half the EU/SG price) and it's about 5-6kg and would work out cheaper but if I pay annual then I'm paying in extra. :)

Yeah 0.3kg sorry. The rates differ for each country now. Test it out, 0.6kg would be R780 from Spain!
