Aramex global shopper

Good Luck.
Aramex is cheap, but the service is cheaper.
Worst case scenario Amazon will refund me as it was sent directly with them. I didn't use AGS with my personal account. Obviously will have to wait which is the annoying part.

But I do just find it sad that neither the Amazon rep nor the Aramex rep gave a ****. Telling me to wait until Monday like no bro trust. :cautious: It's not going to magically appear out of thin air. Something is obviously not right.

Does Amazon's more expensive shipping option use DHL? Or do they also use Aramex for that too?

It could be that the parcel has undergone pre-clearance for customs and hasn't actually arrived in the country yet. But a whole week without updates is concerning.

You could be right, I'm hoping but I dunno. Amarex is slow, but they're not that slow. It's not big or heavy, it's like 1,25kg. If it left New York on the 4th, I don't see how it's not here yet.

If I look at my previous orders, the entire process on average usually only takes 6-7 business days. Items usually ship from New York to Joburg in under 3 business days.

Anyone experiencing slow ags shipment from japan? they received my package on the 29th and no update since.
10 working days and still no progress and they messed up the value so i will be paying duties on almost double the actual price.

It took 18 days from arrival at the hub in japan to it departing japan - SAPO level service. And they managed to mess up the value of the goods so i will be paying double the duties I should pay. Just a warning for anyone planning to ship from japan using ags. My shipment from thailand was fairly quick though.

Soooo I've used AGS for the first time in 3+ years. What a mistake.

Background - bought an item online while traveling to the UK. Received and opened package on the day I was heading back home and unfortunately there were product defects.

Supplier kindly agreed to send me a replacement however they do not ship to SA. So thought to use AGS and had them send it to Shanghai (as it was being sent from within China).

Item delivered on 8 February.
Didn't see it come up in mailbox so logged a case on 12 Feb and it picked up the supplier tracking and ags reference. So I know it was received! Still not in mailbox to this day... ive tried contacting different support email addresses [anyone have one that actually works?]. No joy. Help please!

Yeah they suck.

Ordered an item from Amazon that doesn't ship to SA. Arrived at Florida AGS 11 Feb. Arrived Joburg 14 Feb.

Still waiting... latest log entry today:
"Held in Customs - Requires Governmental Approvals" - wtf?

Oh and their website crashes several times a day. Takes them a while to get it back online each time.

Ive had this happen too. Except they refuse to return to sender.
I have sent them the MSDS report for the battery and all hazardous air travel docs that are necessary. Seems that they keep making stuff up when I provide the docs they ask for.

Useless blerrie company. They've had my parcel for 14 days now. Their website is so kak if you try send a message it crashes and takes 30 minutes to recover.

What a **** up! one month later it was scheduled to be delivered today and they delivered it the wrong place. When I phoned to query, it was delivered to the wrong place. I live in a standalone house and it was delivered to a complex. I dont know if its AGS or the low level of intelligence of the workers, but jeezas! like people cant do tasks that require the bare minimum cognitive abilityl.

Lol, every time I try send a message through their website, I crash it. Takes like an hour to come back online. At this point I might just keep doing it out of spite as they are a useless company and they've had my parcel for two weeks!

Edit: oh interesting, switching to incognito it works again but not in my main browser window. Weird.

Isn't this awesome, not:

I went and picked up my package at the place they delivered using the GPS coordinates update on their tracker...useless.

The website is up for me though, havent had any issues accessing it l.

Amazon cheaper option is Aramex, the expedited option is DHL, FedEx or UPS.

Does anyone have contact details for a helpful Aramex person?

I purchased an order on Amazon.com on the 1st of Feb that was sent with Aramex. The order has been sitting at customs for a week for seemingly no reason. Honestly I'm wondering if it's even still there or if it's "fallen off the truck". Usually my previous orders with Amazon get cleared in a day or two max.

Amazon says it should deliver at the latest by Monday. I don't see that happening at all. I contacted Amarax yesterday on their website. They have some **** AI chatbot thing that was useless. Eventually I got a real person, but all they did was just read the current tracking information. They didn't seem to understand that the item has had 0 activity in over a week. I don't think that's normal.

In the past I had an issue where one of my items got stuck in customs, but it would get scanned every day with updates while it was sitting there. The zero activity thing is what is concerning me.

Did you come right?

With Amazon shipments, work only with Amazon. If they don't arrive on time, Amazon often refunds the shipping or gives a voucher code.

What item is it and how many batteries are there?
Battery in devices under a certain size can fly normal flights without any special packaging, just a special sticker and a note on the waybill that it contains li-ion
