Aramex global shopper

Just a heads up. There is a huge delay at the London branch of AGS. My parcel has been sitting with them since the 24th, in 'Needs Invoice" status. The invoice HAS been uploaded and it shows on their website.

Seems like NY address is on the ball.

Received my parcel 9am and 2pm was already in transit and charges already loaded.

Lets see how slow Customs is going to process this.

Invoice is already loaded.

Hi there
Can I use aramex global shopper to send an item from sa to the USA

Kindly please provide me with contact number for Olivia

on their website, dont be so lazy.
they will probably direct you to aramex themselves and its not cheap, their are other couriers that you can use

My package is in JHB Customs. Status says: Says "Held in Customs - Awaiting Customer Instructions". What does that mean? There are not duties due.

There are always vat and clearance fees due. You need to contact them and send the invoice. (Unless it is an android box, in case you also need to provide an icasa certificate) Good luck with contacting them...

Their website says zero duties. The items were paid for using a gift card.

If the amount was R400 or over, your parcel will go to customs. You paid for the shipping using a gift card, correct? That is Aramex Global Shopper (AGS).

Now it is the turn of SARS Customs, which has nothing to do with AGS. If there is duty to be paid, AGS will pay Customs on your behalf and bill you accordingly.

Nope, I paid for the shipping via EFT. The products were bought using a gift card, incurring UK VAT.

Dont think you quite understand how it works. If the items can uncur UK vat, then it can and will incur import VAT at customs in SA.
You should be able to claim back the UK vat after requesting a waybill from AGS. But you still need to pay the import TAX.

Ok, I thought it strange that AGS had gift cards. ;)
However, the same rule applies. If your parcel is over R400 customs get a slice. You can't claim back for UK VAT unless it is bought from Amazon (or from a supplier that allows you to claim back VAT).

Let's wait and see. I agree that there should be some sort of duties payable. Dont know how Customs handle toys. Each product category attracts it's own rules.

Shipment Charges 492.00
Additional Services 0.00
Duties 0.00
Total Amount 492.00
Tax 0.00
Total amount after tax 492.00 ZAR
