Should it take this long from Dubai to jhb ... My guess is its in Jhb but someone forgot to scan ... Although I'd like to think it's a bulk scan with multiple items in the bulk

You're not paying for Aramex Express. 2 days to Dubai is good. Your parcel left there on the next available flight - after the Express and then the Flex parcels were packed on aircraft and flown.

Credit card payment gets added as soon as you pay and is not related to parcel movement.

Yeah on this ^^^

Spoke to Richard this morn from ags (been bugging him constantly) ... The item is still showing as departed Dubai this morn. He reckons item was most probably never scanned out of Cargo and this usually happens ... Said it's not lost or anything and he will resolve this morn. Anyone else experienced cargo team forgetting to remove an item out of Cargo !?

Decided to rather order from Amazon Germany and use priority shipping to my door. Worked out to be a few more pennies, but I'm sure I'll sleep better at night now :crylaugh:. Parcel on its way with UPS.
 
Does anyone have a contact for an Aramex rep in Dubai. So now im told the bag containing my parcel was taken off the plane and never put back on the plane (even though it shows as departed). Supposedly they are scanning the floors for this bag of parcels ... Wtf

Sounds like it was stolen unfortunately.

But this is what I need to know. Is it stolen in Dubai or here in south Africa? My parcel shows as departed Dubai. Thing is these parcels form part of a bigger bag with like 30 parcels in them

So difficult for me to think that my parcel would be seperated from the bigger bag in Dubai. If stolen can only happen in south Africa

I've had a parcel stolen. It showed as departed from Dubai but nothing was received in S.A.

We can never be sure whats the truth.

Right now I'm seeing it as being stolen. No ways a big father christmas bag can go missing but def a small parcel in that bag can. And if you had the exact same situation with a flight out of Dubai and it went "missing" and Aramex mentioning they always had issues with parcels via Dubai ... Why have they not investigated this route and done anything about it
 
Guys and Gals - If you have duty, always check your SAD 500 declaration carefully. This is attached to the bottom of the page.

I have just been charged R684.53 for a parcel that cost R581. The total value on the SAD 500 is R3745.

This is the 2nd time this week I am fighting an incorrect SAD 500 declaration from Aramex - the other duty is for makeup (I imported a bluetooth speaker).

Oh, and DHL are asking me to pay R2085.69 for an under-declared shipment.
I paid $189 ($159 + shipping of $30). I submitted this invoice for $189.
The SAD 500 submitted to customs had only the $159.
Surely the FULL VALUE OF INVOICE should have been submitted to SARS?
DHL got penalised and Moneeba Esau sends me a bill.
She emailed me this morning:
"Please find the attached which accompanied your shipment, your supplier declared the cables as $159 and the shipping cost is $30, Therefore the customs value on the SAD 500 reflects the $159.00."

This is the amount she expects me to pay:
Payment Due
Vat & Duty ZAR 128.55
Customs Penalty ZAR 1 507.14
Special Clearance Fee ZAR 450.00
Total Due ZAR 2 085.69

Well well. Got a call saying they found the parcel and it's in JHB coming from the airport waiting clearance ... Will confirm once they delivered. My status though is not updated

Damn thats scary ... I don't get how that penalty is calculated at R1500 for 30usd

Just had a phone call from Aramex regarding my tweet stating that PayPal does not work. She asked for shipment numbers I wanted to pay for. I think she expected 1 or 2 shipments. I gave her 6.
