Are SA Steam users breaking the law?

Is it just me, or does the interviewee not understand the the term "digital distribution"? Or maybe its my understanding thats slightly warped...
 
Did you guys approach them and bring it to their attention?

FPB: Our most effective recourse against the practice you describe is to have it seized by Customs. Customs annually seizes tens of thousands of products on our behalf and our relationship with Customs will soon be further cemented through a Memorandum of Understanding

What an idiotic idea and even more idiotic to entertain the idea. LOL customs is going to intercept it during the transfer of data or prior? How would customs seize my steam games exactly? They would need to take my hdd, then i could just download it again.

All i can say is the guy seems to have no idea WTF you are talking about hahahah.

Customs are going to start seizing downloaded steam games bwhahaha i have yet to see them do this for piracy but now they will bring the pain for steam? Wishblade the guy has no idea that steam is digital content, he seems to think steam are importers of physical games, as in cd cover manual etc and not downloaded.

LOL customs is going to come and seize my Steam games now? Rubbish, they wont do anything about it.

I got the same idea. How would you get customs to confiscate digital media? :-)
 
lol... this is actually pretty sad. She thinks you are talking about a physical game that somebody imported into the country. What a chop.
 
When they say their talking to Microsoft it sounds like they mean X-box live and we know know its more expensive because of customs then it is to buy directly from x-box uk or us, no I just think this guy writing the articles should maybe have asked someone else these questions what can happen now is the fpb could be chatting with their customs buddies about steam, next thing we know everything gets more expensive(even though according to law its the right thi...bla bla bla).
Or am I wrong is steam already inline with customs?
 
Oh Crap. Thats why 'm struggling to download my games. They're stuck in CUSTOMS! :wtf:

Why do we even need a local classifications board when the games have already been classified by more competent overseas organisations? You see up to three different age restrictions when you buy a packaged game in SA.
