-The fact that he got out the car alive and she did not.
-The random way she was killed in the hijacking situation.

From the defence side:
1. The dead guy says he was paid, but he doesn't pinpoint Dewani as the one who paid him, rather there was a middle man in Tonga. So only Tonga can directly link Dewani to the crime, and Tonga was a very bad witness.
2. He also paid the staff in the hotel, and he allegedly also paid the police officer who testified. So Dewani paid a lot of people, which absolutely helped his case since not all the people he paid were implicated in the case.
3. The shooters wanted to rape the wife, which is why they let Dewani go.
4. There was a struggle between the shooter and Anni which led to the shooting.

that means absolutely nothing. a video with no sound proves nothing. he could have met with those people and claimed that they were to be his tour guides.

Will the state now prosecute the middle man who arranged for the killers? Not Tonga, the guy who contacted the two "hijackers" on behalf of Tongo on behalf of Dewani. He's the only one who received immunity and he was a pretty poor witness too. I think a lot of people were paid off in both the killing & trial.

The private sector seems to have, on average, far more talented people working there than in the State (mainly related to pay).

I worked in the private sector for 10 years, and in the public sector for 2 years, and I think your statement is misguided and without any
foundation whatsoever.

The problem with public sector is not so much the civil servants, the problem starts with political appointments at Minister and DG level.

SAPS threw the case by letting him return to the UK and I cannot help wondering if a bit of cash greased his passage.
