Article: Israel attacks barbaric: ANC

It is a huge misnomer that muslims hate jews. This is not true at all. The faiths are so closely related, and arabs and jews are technically both from the same people. Under strict Islamic law it would be forbidden to oppress them or any other faith living inside an Islamic state, sadly this isn't always adhered to. The only thing muslims have a problem with here are Zionists who oppress, occupy and kill the palistinian people. And its not just Muslims who have a problem with them. Food for thought.

A quick read through Arab press surfaces a lot of hate speech aimed at Jews in main stream media. In the Israeli/Palestinian conflict the hate speech on both sides is a noted obstacle to peace talks.

The above quote seems like a very biased opinion and would have to be based on a differing interpretation of the word "oppress". From my reading Islam, paraphrased it includes submitting to the will Allah as expressed through his prophet with him being a prime example of an ideal way of life. A peaceful state in Islamic jurisprudence is widely noted as meaning Dhimmi status for Jews, Christians and a few other religious groups. Those who don't subject are termed Harmi (effectively those putting themselves at war with Islam).

Dhimmi status places restrictions on religious freedoms such as public worship, property ownership and requires payment of a punitive tax. It is also widely interpreted in Islamic law mandating wearing of identifying clothing (think ghetto) and restrictions in public life. This was indeed the state under Ottoman rule and stating that these religious groups were able to practice their faith freely or be afforded social freedoms equivalent to other relgions (in this case Islam) is disingenuous at best. Such arrangements are among what makes applied Islam as a system of governance counter to SA constitutional principles (see section 9) and represent oppression in a South African constitutional sense.

A secular state is historically the only system in which people of different beliefs can co-exist fairly. Religions that claim exclusive jurisdiction for its subjects is something that belongs in the dark ages along with the Catholic Church dogma in the dark ages or reformed politics in the 16th century (of which Apartheid's theological basis is a direct descendant, see Calvin, Zwingli et al.)

But Israel is not a secular state. It maintains Israel is a jewish(religious) state. Read their laws.

Dunno but others but I simply dont bother with videos from youtube. Prefer reading so I can assess and verify sources. For me youtube videos tend to be one sided views.

You would not say that if you were black, and living in South Africa, pre-1994.

Well ask those (black people) that were tortured and killed in the ANC camps north of the SA borders, oh sorry they are dead.

Yes apartheid was bad but the ANC killed way more people pre & post apartheid than anyone else ever did. and I'm not even talking about white apartheid supporters. Even old Tutu who I have a lot of respect for spoke out against it.

Would appreciate references or sources for specific facts.

Thanks. Read the skweyiya report only. Seems it was a rogue element of ANC. In any case this a bit off topic but interesting reading.

The ANC Government just hates the Israeli Government because the Israeli's unofficially supported the Nat Government in it's fight against a Terrorist Organisation, the ANC itself. This is just tit for tat but the SA Government is like a toothless barking dog - all noise but no bite.
As if Israel would loose any sleep about the ANC's opinion.;)

it's quite amazing.
the anc govt says little against the islamic republic of iran, saudi arabia, uae & others who shipped oil to the nat govt during the oil embargo.

It is a religious issue and I many if not most will not agree with me. God promised the land to Abraham, it was given to the Israelis so it is in fact ISRAELS land.

There are enough warnings in scripture to any nation that supports the splitting of this land - already very small as it is. Look at the book of Joel as an example.
