Article: SA has lost confidence in Zuma: DA

Hate to break it to you guys, but you shouldn't blame the ANC for everything wrong in your lives.

BEE/etc are policies put into place to help the black majority, because they had nothing in the past.
I know the ANC are corrupt, but don't blame BEE if you can't find a job.

This goes to black people as well. Don't expect your government to provide you guys with "millions of jobs".




Never, EVER bargain on the government - they don't care about you and they never will... not one government in the entire world.
No Past, Present or future Party is ever going to help you.

Most of your churches don't care about you either, and neither does your dentist or doctor really..
Your school, college or university - none of them care.

And if you already have a job - your boss doesn't care about you either.



Sorry friends, but it's the cold hard truth.

This made me lol. Thanks for that. Can't say I agree with everything you say, but you make some valid points.

Majority of South Africans still have confidence in Zuma as evidenced by the majority still voting for the ANC. Perhaps this trend will reverse in 2014 but for now the DA is only grandstanding and saying what an opposition party must say, although it's not true.

Although how you define people can count. If more than 1 person has lost confidence in Zuma, then the DA is correct. South African people - 2 of them or more - have lost confidence in Zuma. But even more have no confidence in the DA so maybe pot-kettle-black.

I dunno about that. I know quite a few people who will still vote ANC as they feel they have no other choice - and they vote DESPITE zuma, not because of him. So it's fair to say they have no confidence in Zuma, they kinda hope that the country will survive his next term and then get better.

Most parties SHOULD have similar agendas. After all, creating a peaceful, prosperous successful country should be everyone's desire.
How about voting for a party that seems like it actually has the will to deliver on the agenda?

Well I wasn't talking about any specific party, but since you bring it up, you think the DA is doing a bad job in the western cape overall?
Remember, a lot of the crap they inherited from the dysfunctional ANC government - and the ANC seems to think that even 20 years isn't enough time to start making a dent in the effects of the past... ;)


Anyway, my point is, you have a moral obligation to vote. People died to bring about democracy in this country, and by not exercising your duty you spit in their faces.

I know that. At 1st i thought of Joining DA but in my area is dominated by people who don't speak my language and they hold their meetings in the language that i don't understand.

Curiously, what impact has the DA made to the people who live in Mitchells Plain, Khayelitsha, Nyanga, Langa, Gugulethu etc? Surely they should be bragging about their positive contribution to those places. When people from there vote for DA, it will unsettle the ANC.

You don't have to be an active member of a political party to vote.

The ANC, or the DA for that matter. If you're unhappy with what they're doing, the only tool you have to influence that is your vote. By saying you won't vote you're not spiting or punishing them as you seem to think, you're spiting yourself.

Voting is also not just about backing the winning horse. It's about seats in Parliament. The less of a stranglehold one party has over the legislature, the better.

Why not? I don't think I'll ever be a member of a political party, or partake in any of their events. Doesn't stop me from realising that my vote is still important.

And what area is this? Are they speaking Afrikaans, or what?
