Article: Western Cape purging itself from blacks: ANC

The Western Cape government is "purging" itself of its black staff, the ANC in the province claimed on Wednesday.

"Despite [provincial premier Helen] Zille's assurances to the contrary, she is still purging blacks from her administration and pursuing her refugee agenda," said member of the provincial legislature Lynne Brown.

The ANC is the most racially divisive and racist party in SA at the moment.

said the party that championed cadre deployments. now that the shoe is on the other foot its racist.

i eagerly await the other side of the story.

"The point is, all of us make up the Western Cape and we must be reflected within the leadership of the running of our lives."
This is something I don't think I will ever understand.

I have no problem with being represented by a black person or an Indian person or a white person or a Chinese person or whatever. All I care about is that they do their job well. If they represent me properly by addressing my needs and sorting out the problems government is supposed to sort out in an effective manner then frankly who gives a schit about skin colour.

"I can tell you now that I will be accused of being racist," she said.
If it walks like a duck, looks like a duck and smells like a duck it might be a elephant but I doubt it.

The ANC can't understand that concept.. because it means they would actually have to work and be accountable for what they do.

Western Cape - The Western Cape government is “purging” itself of its black staff, the ANC in the province claimed on Wednesday.

“Despite (provincial premier Helen) Zille's assurances to the contrary, she is still purging blacks from her administration and pursuing her refugee agenda,” said member of the provincial legislature Lynne Brown.

She told reporters in Cape Town that the alleged riddance of black staff who spoke out against Zille would be more “vigorously” looked at this year.

Brown could not give exact figures of those she claimed were affected, but said “many” staff members were in various stages of progress at the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA).

She said staff were being rid of because of procedural matters and not because they could not do their job.

“I can tell you now that I will be accused of being racist,” she said.

Maybe purging them from ANC corruption, but purging the race is ridiculous. The ANC made a blatant racist comment here. I have the general feeling that blacks are quite welcome in the Western Cape, either as employees or inhabitants. All I know is in government administration you should be loyal to your party; there might be a “purging” process here.

The DA call it purging corruption and incompetence, the Anc call it racism... :banghead:

Thought you were a fan of BEE. Or does race only count in the private sector.

I would also have left long ago, no opportunities for a corrupt deal or two and on top of that they also expect you to do some actual work in the Western Cape......

Just out of interest, do you think a black person from the township can truly represent a white person from a wealthy suburb properly? And vice versa, can a white person from the suburbs truly represent the needs and problems of people living in shacks in a township?

True, I'd leave for the greener anc grass as well
