Audacious integration into panel volume control?

Ubuntu 11.10 base install + XFCE/Xubuntu

With gmusicbrowser installed I can see it under the volume control icon on the panel and able to launch it from there. I've uninstalled gmusicbrowser and only have audacious installed but it does not appear under the volume control icon on the panel. In 'theory' I believe it should just work?

Any ideas suggestions?

Apparently applications need the MPRIS 2 protocol for sound menu integration which Audacious in it's current version does not have.

I found a PPA for v3.2 beta and it works a charm! http://ubuntucafe.blogspot.com/2012/01/install-audacious-32-beta-in-ubuntu.html
