Oh, me too but my speeds are fine.
Phoenix/Mount Edgecombe AreaWhereabouts? I am in Glenwood and at 4pm when people start leaving work for home my Cell C internet literally slows to a crawl. Some nights it's ok (last night we managed to watch Netflix for an hour at 8pm) but most nights it's just awful. Can't use it at all.
I live in Gauteng, but before this fixed LTE, I had a Cell C once off data deal as well, (100GB for R1000 for a year.) Speeds were okay in Akasia area, online gameplay ping was not too shabby, but spiked a few times. There was also times there was no internet, but data connection was there. I put the SIM in my LTE LG G3. Data didn't last long, though... 3/4 months, can't remember. The general catch of this fixed LTE bundle, is the cheap top-up rates of R12.50 (WebAfrica/Internet Solutions), but the infrastructure is not so good. My fixed Cell C LTE keeps up well, but speeds is sub-par.Are all of you who are experiencing problems in the Gauteng area?
You can check here at this site: https://www.frequencycheck.com/countries/south-africaLast night internet unusable, barely 2mbps, Musgrave, Durban, has been like this for the last 2 weeks. Which LTE band do they use ?
I also read it was 2100Mhz, but when I force router to use 2100Mhz (using huawei band tool ) it fails to connectYou can check here at this site: https://www.frequencycheck.com/countries/south-africa
Seems to me that Cell C is using Band 1, 2100MHz
I'm in the same area with the same results - just got my SIM last week. It's a bit better during the day (5-7mb down) but it crawls at night.Last night internet unusable, barely 2mbps, Musgrave, Durban, has been like this for the last 2 weeks. Which LTE band do they use ?

Their network can't cope with the demand. Not in Central Durban at least. The speeds are so slow in the evening for me that I can't even surf the net, let alone try to stream Netflix.![]()
Thought it was just me, its pretty much unusable at night get around 10 - 40KB/s, only in the last month or two. No matter what site i download from it crawls, not only that but connection reset all the bloody time which is annoying when you paying R830 for 200gb and have to restart downloads all the time. Speedtest always has decent speed. Almost feels like throttling.
Hi EpahHaving the same issues lately. Can’t stream anything online after 7pm but I can still watch YouTube on 480p max.
