...am I missing something?

It sounds like an awesome offer. I'm currently paying about R70/GB with WA.

Your thoughts?

Yea, it works fine. But, you need another account at 06H01, they're strict about the 06H00 cut-off. The 626 does work all weekend though, so it's really cool for that.
I'd say use it, it's a lot cheaper.

I tried the prepaid option which is R55 per Gig. Cheaper than the normal R70 from Web Africa I normally use. Considering im not even home in the week from 6am to 6 pm this product suits me down to the ground. I will have a backup normal prepaid account for the odd times when the 626 isnt working.

And the best thing of all is that the 626 unshaped has halved my BF2 ping!

I found this service to be the most pathetic service i have ever used. My latency in wow is worse with this account than what it is with my WA shaped account. Just cancled it and i doubt i will ever use axxess again.

I have an account, but I pretty much use it for the weekend. Also, although its unshaped playing Warhammer with it is worse about 50% of the time than using a SAIX shaped account. At one time IS unshaped was really good, but as more users are on the service its degraded significantly. For surfing and downloading out of hours it seems fine.

it is awesome and for gamers the latency is the lowest i have come accross even for local games. only downside is that it is only from 6pm - 6am weekdays and all access on the weekends. Great deal. Come July we gonna see even better deals.

Yeah I emailed Seacom and asked them what benefit I might see being a telkom client and all. They responded and said that if I am a Neotel(well i am not) or a IS using I will see some nice new deals. My main isp is IS so holding thumbs that we see something good. There is loads of competition latley between all the isp's most of the good offers are through IS. So we can already see the impact and Seacom isnt even online yet:)

Ok, I've signed up for the month-to-month option (R45/month/GB).

I'm keeping my 1Gig all-inclusive contract with WA (which my wife will us during the day while I'm at work) and I'll switch over when I get home.

I'm really impressed with the easy of the sign-up process...5minutes and I was connected.

I'm not a gamer, but I do FTP/SCP a lot for my photography, and it's been awesome.

Now, all I need to do is write an app/daemon to automatically switch accounts and I'm sorted!

Nice word for porn ;) jokes.

Set up a app to run both accounts and windows to dedicate some services to the acc and the places you use to upload or download?

Check it out site.

Please explain #2? Is that done by setting the router to bridging mode?

axxess - no new lines?

Hi all. A bit off the topic, but for about 2 months now Axxess are not receiving applications for new adsl lines anymore due to hassles with Telkom, only transfers from other isp's. I don't have a problem with this in principle, if it's from the point of providing good service - but aren't they shooting themselves in the foot long term? Are they still ok as a provider, or what have you heard.
