Axxess Auth issues?

OpenWeb only offers 1 concurrent connection and I need atleast 2 concurrent connections. That was one of the reasons I moved to Axxess.

Our IS accounts have 2 concurrent connections.

We also have a 10GB SAIX 2 concurrent connection account for R479, that can be ordered from me directly. Unfortunately, we dont have it up on the website yet. [email protected] SAIX accounts ordered today can unfortunately only be created early Monday morning. But we will process everything today.

Thanks so much zero!!

my axxess acc is working fine. took loooooooooooong though to auth after i switch off the router to fix a few surge related problems with othet pc's. hrm can't understand why though, i notice checking your usage on saix also give that invalid username issue even though it is correct.

Ive been having problems since the beginning of the month , this weekend i have had virtually no connection and axxsess is very unhelpful , the guy i spoke to yesterday mumbled something about the saix link!!!!... i never had problems before 1st BTW:mad:

I've been having problems on my Axxess Authentication with both my Axxess accounts for the past 2 days. Thought it had something to do with the Blackouts in Cape Town, but it's still happening.

Phoned Axxess and they assured me there was no problems on their side. Tried Telkom Guest Account straight afterwards and it connected straight away.

Using me TelkomADSL account to connect at the moment, but it really is pissing me off. Wonder what I'm paying for...

Repeted clicks of the "Redial" button fixes the problem. If it doesn't authenticate, just brute force it. Connects after ~8 or so attempts.

This is my last month with Axxess. Thanks for your esteemed 'customer support.' If it truly is Telkom's fault why do none of the other ISPs suffer the same fate? Good day to you.

Sorry to hear of all the Axxess problems. As a matter of interest, do the Axxess staff still take part in MyADSL? It would benefit them greatly to have a voice here - it sounds like they need to gain their customers confidence back.

If I'm not mistaken I have not seen any activity from their side on this forum for longer than a month.

Thats really silly of them. It would really benefit them to join in the forum. It creates more confidence for their customers and prospective customers. I feel this way about Web Africa. Knowing they are here to answer my questions definitely gives me more confidence in them.

WA definitely has a large following. Axxess did too but then they moved away from a customer centric approach to a 'how many people we can get and how much $$$ we can bring in' centric approach.

I have been using axxess for four months now and have had no problems (so far). I am however having problems logging into some intl websites and chat services. But that seems to be a pervasive problem (see the thread above this one).

never had any problems before but now I dont' dare switch of as it takes an eternity to reconnect,I also find their service is gone downhill, you get mumbles and promises, that is all. P2P starts off well then drops to a few bytes, international cannot log to a lot of sites, these are just a few problems, I am re-thinking my loyalty to them, after all I pay for 30 Gig, surely this is not to be sneezed at. If they have some problems this is the time to talk or loose customers.

Hmm, why don't you try Azureus (BitTorrent) - I have been using them with Axxess just fine. The international site problems seem to be pervasive and not just limited to Axxess at the moment (see the Thread above this one - "FFS"). Not trying to tell you what to do, just saying that these problems may not be Axxess alone.

I am using Azureus and can only upload at the moment, the international problem I agree it seems to be more or less across the board, maybe I was a bit quick as the guys have always been friendly and helpfull in the past but I have several querries still awaiting an answer one of them 3 months old, dont' get me wrong I sympathise with the ISPs, pretty tough time for them but also for us, I have 3 x ADSL (2x512, 1x1024) connections + 30 Gig prepaid (not really by choice but by need) and am expecting a bit of service, at this stage I am sitting tight but I am not a very happy person (me & the rest of ADSL users LOL)

I'm having problems with my username and password not being accepted. After about 10-20min it usually connected though.

Maybe this has something to do with Axxess creating their own infrastructure. I want to see if the p2p is really that much faster or I want to get a new ISP.

I had auth problems today, managed to login after about 10 minutes heavy retrying ... I thought that it happened only today, but apparently it is an old problem which I haven't picked up earlier. That is quite annoying.

Hope axxess gets things sorted out, because reliability is paramount for me, and if they go down few times, I am moving to another ISP right away, theare are even some cheaper ones around

Getting quite bad over the last number of days.

Time to move ??
