Weird thing, sometimes I get full speeds for a while (yesterday for about 1 hour during daytime) then drops back to throttled at half of 384 - which is pretty useless.
 
i surfed pretty much the whole day yesterday at 192kbps and i found it to be fine. obviously it meant meant things like opening a video and do other browsing before returning to view it.
 
the satellite service should be fine for downloading...what do you really get for 100 bucks more?
 
i think the fibre has vastly improved latencies. i think there was a thread when the semi-shaped service was launched which showed this.

EDIT: It is possible the same thread showed consistently faster speeds. But all I know is that because I am not a gamer, the fibre based package offered the best browsing and download experience for me even when I was on Do3.

Actual speeds in kbps or lower pings for games only? I don't mind a slight wait for youtube downloads, so long as I don't have to pay through my nose for them. My mom uses close to 10 top ups a month (axxess R70 engen ones) so getting this is a real alternative.
