Axxess Uncapped Subscribers Feedback

Much worse than Digichilli and that is saying something. Giving it till 1pm to improve, then cancelling and trying mweb via openweb tomorrow.

Move to mweb, little more expensive but really good
Mweb News Server 100kb-200kb ( 3 Concurrent Connection)
Torrents International ( Day 60kb-150kb) ( Night 250kb-450KB)
Http Mutithreaded (300kb-550kb)

On what planet is the inability to open Gmail in less than 2 minutes on a 384k line a good product? What "mom and pop" household will think that's great? Bloody dial-up is better than this k*k.

It's now more than obvious our local ISPs were not even considering uncapped for the masses. Back to prepaid I go.

I'd be really upset if this had cost more than R1.
Which means tomorrow I'm gonna be really upset!

Yip totally agree totally useless package

Guess that is money I may as well have flushed down the toilet, as it has the same effect.

Cancelled.

I honestly can't imagine ANYONE who would be happy with an Internet connection that functions at this 'speed'. What the hell are they thinking? What kind of customer do they think they are targeting? Maybe they should call it the "Patience Package - for people with all the time in the world to wait for their web pages to load".

Hi,
I need to sign up for Uncapped tomorrow. I have narrowed it down between MWEB and Axxess. Which one should I go for?
Thanks
PS: I like to use News Servers a bit.

Have a look at the MWEB Subscribers Feedback thread; people there are getting mixed responses from news servers. If you're looking to get a similar usage as reflected in your sig, I think its best to stay with Express+. That seems like a product that would make the most sense.

The axxess standard uncapped so far has been awful. Wouldn't recommend the non express+ package.

I am not looking for that much... maybe like 250GB...
Gonna go with MWEB... The Axxess feedback is a shocker

Hey Wolfza, did you have any problems cancelling? Thought you had to give 30 days notice?

No problem cancelling, if you accept that you still have to pay for April, which I have. I did tell them in the "reasons I cancelled" box that while I am doing so, I am not happy about it, but I don't think anyone will care. What gets my goat is that R197 could have bought me around 7 gigs of properly usable bandwidth from Afrihost.

Damn, so I still have to pay R496 for a sub 384 service on my 4mb line? Somebody from axxess better explain what they plan to do about this mess.

This is a first for me -- in 16 years of internet use in ZA.

Upload speed = Download speed.

Line is 384.

Browsing is OK, but if you try and actually do anything! I'm running umpteen virtual servers on my PC,
for testing, developing etc -- doing apt-get at 10KB/s is not funny.

Oh well, I paid my school fees, back to capped local.

For comparison, using my axxess capped semi-shaped acc.

I am hoping it's just a technical stuff-up on their side or their network is just not geared towards this kind of service. I am just sorry I didn't follow my own advice to wait it out before buying an uncapped account.
