Fair Cape Shuttle jumping a red light.

They always drive like baffoons, I reported the one driver to their Facebook page and they said they would look into it but I'm sure they didn't.

I think I posted it to this thread as well.

Edit

Looks like my post on their Facebook page was deleted but I see another post on their page from April about bad driving. Maybe we should all give them 1 star ratings?

What was the response? Should we all call and complain?

Chinese guy answered, asked for the registration of the vehicle and I said I did not have it in front of me but I could check the picture I took. When I mentioned it was in Stellenbosch he said OK he will call the driver right away about it. Good enough with we.

Blue Line Express License CFM 72404

email excerpt that i sent to the company:

On 24 Dec, at around 09h30 in the morning, one of your drivers driving was tailgating me on Brackenfell Blvd (heading south from Cape Gate) License plates CFM 72404. I tapped the brakes several times to get him to back off and as we came up to a traffic light, he tried to force me off the road and proceeded to block me from moving forward (see attached pictures). This gentleman then rolled down his window and started yelling at me (which I couldn’t hear as I refused to roll down my window).

He then pulled away at speed which I caught up to him so I can get more pictures of the vehicle, as I proceeded to move into the right lane and put my window down, I said to him he needs to start looking for another job (as obviously he has no concerns for any drivers on the road) and he started to threaten me to tell me that I better look for another place to live. He said this at least x3 times.

The driver then turned onto Old Paarl Road, and I followed and gave him indication that I was calling your office. He proceeded to beg me to not to call several times. I spoke to a nice guy on the phone, sorry, can’t remember his first name but he was very helpful and let me know when the driver is back, that they will speak to him and issue a warning. Unfortunately, a warning is not good enough. I will be taking this to social media, unfortunately for me, your company doesn’t have a Facebook profile, but there are avenues I can follow to get the word out there about this incident to think twice about using Blue Line Express while this driver is still employed there.

This driver does not belong on the road at all and should have been pulled off immediately, and fired.

Unfortunately your demand for him to be fired is pointless...

Barring your word and a photo, you have no evidence of his reckless driving. The company will give him a warning as that is the most they can do.

Oh and be wary of getting on your high horse on social media. You could potentially open yourself up for defamation lawsuits.

White Honda Brio ND619-773. With smashed rear drivers side tail light.

Driving up Higginson highway towards Pinetown and then took a Chatsworth off ramp. Speeding, tail gating and cutting off cars.

Car likely to be written off before end of festive season. Driver has no driving skills.

A single once off post is problematic potentially... but if you go on a crusade it could get messy for you is more my point :)

Was traveling with a friend. Got stopped in a police roadblock this morning on the way to stellenbosch from franschhoek. Car in front had a child straddling between the front seats. Cop checks the drivers license and waves them through. I wound down my window and ask him why the kid isn't strapped in? Response was he hadn't noticed. Left it at that and went on our way.

Should be a mandatory parenting license check as well...
