I love taking pictures and videos while driving or riding. Just never text or talk on your phone while driving, that kills.
...and many people might be surprised at how many drivers we can see texting and swiping away on their phones in traffic.I take the bus
Why is there a double line anyways? Looks like a long straight. I also see the double line is ending a few meters ahead of you. Don't see the issue here. There was this guy too. HZC 153 EC. Notice the solid double barrier line

In hindsight he could have just waited another 5 seconds for the road marking to indicate that he was allowed to overtake but Mr Polo Vivo was too much in a hurry it seems

I'm guilty of overtaking on double lines. Mostly due to people not driving the speed limit. Just because some engineer thought 16 years ago a double line has to be there, doesn't make it any safer.
Anyhow, if a vivo overtakes tou, you must've been going slow![]()
Fair enoughThis portion of road was between Grahamstown and PE and is pretty notorious for being a bit on the dangerous side. There is also a speed trap up most days of the week down the road around the bend so I err to the side of caution (100 kph zone which I stick to religiously). The Vivo was in a hurry and I estimate he was going about 130 - 140kph at the time.
I think the reason for the double barrier line is because the oncoming lane merges from two lanes into one which also causes hassles as people from that direction also regularly swing out and overtake slower cars or trucks even with oncoming traffic.
Also, genetic might lynch you for the bolded bit![]()
With the rain, expect more bad drivers in Gauteng today!
That last one is classic
I see this type of driving is pretty common down here among Audi and VW drivers, and to an extend Fortuner and Ranger pilots too
Nice footage![]()
