Bad Driving thread

This morning I was in the lane where the red dot is indicated. Another vehicle was in the lane where the green dot is indicated. I saw him coming, he saw me coming and I carried on in my lane without stopping at the yield - to my mind he would be merging into the middle lane of the three on the bridge. However, he decides to take the most acute angle that he can aiming straight at my vehicle at the point where the green line ends. Off course he then joins behind me and the shouting and profanity commences.

Was I wrong? Should I have waited for him to cross all three lanes before I proceeded?

Racing line bro, need to be careful about scrubbing that speed

That's just down the road from me, and that's a very nice and wide intersection. He must have been doing something stupid.

You live around here?
Work in the area.

No idea how he/she ended up like that, didn't see any damage to the pavement on the right.

Don't you just love it when people reveal themselves as bad drivers in the bad driving thread?
Hence why I make ABSOLUTELY SURE I am not in the wrong before posting here.. Don't want to have that kind of embarrassment following one around for a lifetime...

Yeah, I also always go and read up on the laws and regulations and stuff before I complain (if I do not know them already, as in this case with the yield sign)

Get off your high horses. I have reread my post and can't see any complaining.

I also do not agree that it is embarrassing that I educate myself.

This forum really has gone toxic. I have had conversations with both of you on other threads before, yet you now choose to speak about me as if I'm not here?

Not cool.

I didn't mean you, I meant the others who commented and told you "you are right". You asked and now know, no issue with your post, though I can see how you took it that way.

He may be an ass from your point of view - but you were in the wrong - you had to Yield.
put it this way if there was an accident you would be at fault or if he was in this forum he would post about how this ass didn't even bother to yield nearly slammed into him

To your mind he may be in the middle lane - to his mind he does have right of way - that Yield as far as i can understand is because the middle allows turning both left and right so in terms of traffic management allows for them to choose the far left if more people are turning right and they need to be right.

What is up with people speeding up to block people when they signal trying to change lanes, especially on the freeway.

I saw it happen this morning, bmw guy in front of me speeds up to block a toyota corolla indicating intentions to change lanes, the bmw simply speeds up to block the corolla, corolla swerves back, bmw slams on the brakes and rear ends the car in front of it. Could've ended different if the bmw driver just let the corolla through.

You answered your own question, BMW driver.
