Bad Driving thread

No, not just you. I think more and more people are saying: "if the taxis can do it so can I".

I once heard someone saying "there are too many cars on the road so I'll follow the taxis if I want to get somewhere"

Also, people have become lazy to leave on time and too impatient.

Sadly my Google Camera app no longer works since Android 10 update, need to wait for the next release. :(

Anyways:

At first jumped from far right to left, then in middle lane because everyone was stuck at red light decided it was a good idea, while red, to go and take the spot in the intersection, then because blocking traffic from left, decided it would be great to go and basically stop his car to perfectly block the trucks from the left to cross.

Then here:

CA 187-427 decided it was a great idea to block the intersection at a hospital...

In a way you're correct, but what I'm talking about is low to medium impacts.

Bumpers are soft plastic, and at speeds below 40km/h the bumper will have a nice towbar-sized lump in it, but your car won't have any damage.

At higher speeds you may get a bit of damage (broken bumper etc) but still better than what you would get without a tow bar.

But yeah, YMMV with towbars though.
My previous car had a tow bar too, but was hit from behind by a Touareg with a bull bar... The tow bar had no damage but my car was a write off.

Another self absorbed driver who can't wait behind a few cars and uses the emergency lane, it looked to be a fully bullet proof Ranger...

How big does a solid white line have to be for someone to see it?

Me, trying to get home in one (sane) piece in Jhb 17h00 traffic with load-shedding. I apologise profusely to anyone I may have upset with my impatience.

I was on the Gaubus and it just barrelled through intersections as if it were a taxi

I need that tow bar
You might find it at a scrap yard somewhere...
btw, we drove the Mazda home and then to an assessment centre despite it being a write off due to the floor being bent (it doesn't have a chassis as such). The Touareg didn't look like it sustained much damage, but it had to be removed as the radiator was leaking.

This is what a written off Mazda 5 looks like (note tow bar is not bent at all):

That looks as if he knocked you at quite a speed

The Touareg was most likely too high to hit the tow bar which is why most of the damage was taken by the boot/hatch and then transferred through the rear floor area, damaging the monocoque 'chassis'

Observe this bright spark in a Honda who thinks that 60KM/H is far too slow, almost caused an accident with the red car ahead as they were turning right.
