Bad Driving thread

Don't have pictures but almost got squished between two cars today.
On Voortrekker, left lane when guy pulling out of a side street into Voortrekker just pulled out in front of me... Literally as I am 2 meters away from him going 60. He didn't see me at all. I immediately swerved into the right lane and of course someone was busy doing a u turn into that lane. ****.
I put my foot down and squeezed in between the ****ing tiniest gap and missed both of them.
It happened so quickly I didn't even have time to get angry or swear and go ballistic. All I managed was to inhale and hold my breath and it was over.

Afterwards I only really was able to take in how ****ing close I actually was to getting sandwiched.

How I hate this part of the N12, had been in the queue for a while. Those robots haven't worked in ages.

Due to the rain the points men are nowhere to be seen.

@Briewhat camera do you have? It's clearer than mine and I'm thinking about upgrading.

I mainly have more of the same video's, skipping traffic lights, stop streets, using emergency and turning lanes, illegal uturns, etc. but these stood out.

I understand that people want to be courteous on the road but safety should come first.

No problems that there is a solid white line that is widening to a no driving area.

I was sure I was paying attention, driver ahead brakes at the last minute and only indicates to turn, when they turn.

And this prize specimen, who I hope only takes themselves out when they inevitably have an accident.

n of speed cops or road hazards further up ahead). Then it did an U-turn. Again I assumed he/she saw friends and wanted to meet up with them.

Boy, was I wrong.

The telltale dust in the air warned me that something was majorly wrong, and soon I could see a truck (at least it was a truck with two empty side-tippers) and said SUV weaving in and out of traffic.

Automatically I fell back. I had no desire to be part of the unfolding Charlie Foxtrot, but people behind me had other ideas, and passed me, but they were forced to do an emergency stop.

Ahead the driver of the SUV had positioned his car in front of the offending truck, forcing it to a stop, and allegedly fired three shots at the truck. (Silly boy. A SUV is definitely no match for a large truck with two empty trailers. If he had his family with him in the SUV, then he set an extremely poor example for his family).

He missed the driver, but hit the left-front side (passenger side) of the truck, damaging the radiator with his lead jellybeans, leaving the truck straddling both lanes.

Driver was shaken and upset, but glad to be alive. Gave the poor guy some moral support, and urged him to get the police involved.

At least the truck have a dashcam, so footage can possibly be used to find the driver of the SUV, who fled the scene going back from where he came from.

I have seen some road rages on youtube, but this one takes the cake.

He should've rammed the SOB with his truck.

On a long stretch of road (especially the part between Kroonstad and Bloemfontein) where you get "overtaking strips" 1 km apart, the following was observed :

- If you see a truck coming on from ahead, do not try to overtake anything in front of you. Chances are there'll be a d00s behind said truck and is getting impatient, and will overtake recklessly.
- if there's more than one truck ahead of you, wait for the road ahead to be clear (or for a double-lane overtaking strip) before you try to overtake. Keep your eyes on both the road ahead and behind you as some d00s will try to ride your ass in overtaking.
- Don't try to be a d00s and overtake a truck as the road narrows. They don't like it, and it is not safe.
- Remember, better arrive alive a bit later than try to beat the clock and end up in hospital.
- Cops are only interested in speed traps, not patrolling and pulling bad drivers over.
