its empty now - leave it a few hours and it gets busy, the car is still parked like that?

That looks like the far end of Canal Walks underground parking, on the Ratanga side. It's far to walk anywhere from that point and it's seldom full (if I have the correct spot). I wouldn't park there as you have to walk far. This guy did, and parked this way to prevent some moron from parking next to him.

If he parked like that closer to the entrance, I would have agreed, he is a ****. But as it is, I do think he put in the effort to not inconvenience anybody else.

he could park closer to the concrete lip on the left, gives him more room on both sides - since no car can park on he left of him

There could 100 open parkings around, some idiot will always come park next where you park. I've given up on that long ago. Especially when you car is sparkling clean. When it's dirty, as both my cars currently are, for some reason people tend to park a spot or two away.

Bottom line is that he parked badly. I also park at the opposite end of the entrance at Canal Walk in an isolated spot (Hence how I spotted him) but I park properly.

There's no excuse to park badly :)

Even me. The oke who designed it must have been on some pretty potent drugs. I got lost on my way back but found Friesland - score :D
