Baldur's Gate 3

So just to be clear, early access will give you updates for bugfixes but also new content ? Up to what point ?

Big update with lots of fixes incoming, especially to cinematics. yay.
I see one of the bugs I/SO reported is part of that group. Kinda annoying if you have destroyed the wardrums and then as the goblins trigger they still run to where it was and still use it. lol.

I guess being divinity original sin III, their odd direction of late and/or lack of updates?
What do you think?

BG3 has the name, but it looks like the Pathfinder games have the gameplay I'm after when I think of BG.
That said D:OS3 also sounds like a great idea.

Wasn't there an update six or seven days ago? Well, hot patch. I don't know, I bought it and digitally shelved it. Just see the schitshow Bloodlines 2 is turning into, more emphasis is placed on turning the Vampire Masquerade IP into a battle royale than to promise an RPG, which I know have been retconned due to the change in creative direction. At least I know that Buldur's Gate III is being made.

Probably the best thing to do other than measuring it against dos1 and dos2 eas.

Out of all the latest offerings when one would you recommend?
I haven't played any CRPGs since D:OS2, except for Tormet: Tides of Numenera.
Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous has good reviews, but I'm going to play Kingmaker first which also got good reviews, but not as good as WotR.

I also want to play Wasteland 3 to get my real Fallout fix.

You can also look at Solasta: Crown of the Magister (DnD 5th ed)

You probably played Deadfire already.

Oh, and Disco Elysium has gotten rave reviews, although it might be a bit text heavy for some. It is also not really a traditional RPG with conventional combat like we are used to.

Wasteland 3 need more time in the oven and though the game has been patched, it is still glitchy. You also kinda need the DLC expansion now to have the better story experience. My quirk with the game is that it was designed with multiplayer in mind, and they have placed so much attention towards getting that right that they have only most recently started to roll out the long called upon balancing patches.

Besides Encased released today. Cheap and worth the price. I am also under the Dome ;)

Then Atom RPG, perhaps the closest to Fallout at the moment, Russian Fallout, but it's standalone expansion Trudogard will release on the 13th I believe.

Yeah, I bough Wasteland 3 already, but will wait for the expansion to also go on sale. :D
Atom RPG is also on my list

Death Trash looks great, and Mecha Jammer also looks interesting.

Then there's the slightly older UnderRail which looks good.

Encased... added to the wish list, thanks ;)

Underrail is awesome, it is the one title which deserve the Steam Labor of Love award, but never gets it. Since release, the game has regularly received new content, and has in June received another major content and balancing patch. Every time I want to get into the game, I am forced to restart because of all the new content. You don't have to, but I am like that. Just yesterday, it received its latest minor patch. Remember, this game has been out since 2015.

The devs of this game looks really well after it, deserves every new buyer of their title for the loyalty they have shown to their 'backers'.

Wrath of the Righteous is really good.
It really is, Kingmaker was also really good but holy hot damn it's difficult. The DM really does not love you in any of the two games.
