Battlefield 2

Morning All.

Bit of a frustrating one last night. Does anyone else get the impression that some of the guys are cheating?

I got into a firefight with a guy 3 or 4 times last night and after dumping almost an entire clip from the g36 in him he didn't drop and ended up killing me each time. But yet other guys typically drop after two or three short burst, and that can be at quite a distance.

i dont play anymore... waiting for 1.03 patch... hope it sorts out some of the unbalancing issues in the game...

yet sometimes i have noticed your problem doobiwan, maybe he was running over medkits while you were shooting at him? i've seen it happen before...
 
Or you're shooting a recharging medic, and he only shoots when he's got you from the side.

I've watched medics on our team spawn, grab medikit and start running recharging all the way, just incase they get shot.

But - when 2 people start jumping around each other, it's usually the one that wiats for the dead-on-cannot-miss headshot that wins.

My best is the AT's 12 round shotgun (Unlock 1) - took out 6 blokes with 2 shots - all standing behind each other, while parachuting off a 3 story building. Man - excellent. Wish there was a replay feature, it'll never happen again.

I find that when playing the assault kit, one survives more one on one firefights. I guess it is due to the body armor for this kit. My problem with that kit is that it is powerless against armor. I suspect the guy that killed you was probably using some kit with body armor.
 
Hmm, could have been the medic trick, maybe more likely med-kits, it just seemed odd that it kept happening with one or two specific players.

I didn't really notice lag, but did forget to turn off AV and Antispy before I started, so maybe. I'll just have to see over the next few days.

I think there is a record/playback function.

where you standing still and he was or where you both moving?

i often empy my doa12 only to find i didnt kill the guy but only sometimes hehe

Your not alone... I get that feeling too. Sploitz!11!

Apart from some guys seeming invulnerable (armor aside), there are some people who are a little bit too accurate and I mean in a suspicious way. It could very well be lag but I feel there is something more sinister going on.

Also, what's going on with the servers lately, my ping averages between 15-20ms yet I get this lag which never existed a month ago... very strange.

I will play more actively when the patch arrives, which I hope is soon.
 
It was a two instances, one we were, um, dancing, the other I caught a sniper almost point blank in the chest, dump an entire clip in him and he didn't drop. I guess I may not have aimed straight, but I was consciously trying to (which usually works :P )
 
Must agree, some ppl are just too good for me now.

but the lag is terrible, i mean really, I have a fast connection with good ping times but still things warp all over the map. Can't wait for the patch.

Anybodee going to buy BF2 Special Forces ?
Anybodee know if EA are gonna merge BF2 and BF2 Special Forces scores ?
If they don't [merge the scores], then I won't be buying it.
 
they wont merge the two... it will give an unfair advantage to the current sergeants and kill any thrill of achieveing medals or promotions in the expansion.

i hope the points required for any unlocks in the expansion are not as ridiculous as in BF2 though... Corporal is good enough for me as i do have a life to keep up with... :D
 
It'll probably have a whole different structure, so I'd guess not. Any word on the "campaign" type thing they're launching, can't rememeber the name? Any word if they'll run it on the SAIX servers?
 
Last night I tried playing online (SAIX server) for the first time.....

Ouch! Got nailed and the lag/choppiness was terrible.
Spose IBurst really isnt up to online gaming.....
 
This has got to be the longest running thread ever started on this forum! Onto page 44 now... :o
 
Page numbers depend entirely on how many posts you display per page. For me it's only 17 pages. :P

And you haven't seen the 'I am a thread killer' thread in off topic, have you? :)
